When you first post you see the post, so it does not show up as new when you do that search....you have already seen it so it is not new for you. My computer illiterate brain thinks that the cookies take care of that shit.

PQR is kinda correct but to repeat....

New Posts = Unread posts ONLY. After you post something you read it automatically.

Today's Posts = All posts in the last 24 hours.

Personally I always use Today's Posts unless I have been away for more then 24 hours.
