From Dominican Today:
BOCA CHICA. - Dominican and U.S. intelligence agencies investigate
scams of
millions of dollars against citizens of that country and Europe by a
presumed racketeering ring which includes prostitutes, doctors, lawyers
and
bailiffs.
Intelligence sources revealed that to rip off the foreigners of their
properties and of millions of dollars, the women, in complicity with
lawyers, filed charges and lawsuits against the foreigners by alleged
physical abuse, the prostitutes obtained forged medical certificates
and
then the lawyers contracted bailiffs to subpoena the supposed
aggressor.
They said that investigators found that to further their conspiracy
those
women first begun romances with their victims and studied their
properties
and assets.
The sources said that they even investigates cases of women who in
complicity with doctors have placed casts on their legs and ankles
alleging
presumed fractures because of the supposed abuse by the foreigners.
"But there are also massage centers which make up those supposed
victims, to
later take their photographs to present them in the courts, showing the
blows that the foreigners supposedly inflicted on them," they said.
It was reported that the U.S. intelligence agencies which conduct the
investigation jointly with Dominican authorities have in their
possession
several cases of American citizens whose properties and assets here
were
stolen by those racketeers.
