My spanish is enough to get by, and this is trip 16 to the DR. I know Sosua well, and know Blackbeards VERY well. So let me know any way I can help out.

Also regarding Sosua, don't let people discourage you. Its true that the more spanish, the better, but I knew a handful of words my first few trips and had/have no problems. I'd encourage you to explore!

Yeah, the board can be a pain to get used to. My friends and I are confirmed and will be at New Garden in Sosua from 4/23 through 5/3. If you head into Sosua, ( and I recommend a day and evening there), we'll be around. ANY cab driver knows New Garden, and it's right by the strip. in Sosua. During the day we'll be at Sosua beach, mainly at Hermann's place, the Siempre Sol which is stall 145 , and late evening at Classicos disco. Hermann, and Wilfried, the manager at New Garden know me, and can usuallly point to the direction I went LOL. I dont bother with cell phones, but you're welcome with us anytime.

I'm a skinny white American, 38, probably have a Notre Dame ball cap on. If you think you may be in the area at a specific time, send me a note before I leave and we can meet up in the Sosua area. I'm thinking of taking my wingman to BB's , just becase he's never been.
