Yes I stayed at the NG on my first trip. It was great. I may stay there again this time. I haven't booked a hotel yet. I'm not sure how this whole crackdown on the working ladies is affecting things in Sosua compared to my first trip in March of 2010 but I think the NG still has working ladies hanging out at the bar and pool areas. I only stayed for 6 nights on my one trip to the DR so I'm definately not a pro on the scene there. If you are there during the same time it would be great to have a couple of brewski's. I can tell you about Costa Rica and Thailand as I've been to those places many times.

Hi Dude,

I'm planning my first trip to DR around July as well (not made flight reservaritions yet). I've read a lot of the posts on places to stay and still haven't settled on a place to book a room. If you don't mind saying, why the NG for you? I was thinking about the NG as well for a first time. Did you stary there on your first trip? For myself, I'd just like a half-way decent place to wet my newbie interests. Any info you have would be appreciated.
