Ebano Verde Scientific Reserve (Jarabacoa)

This reserve is situated in the municipality of Jarabacoa, in the province of La Vega.

This is a conservation area that seeks to preserve the green ebony and all the other plants and animal that thrive exclusively in these biophysical conditions. This is one of the few areas with the natural characteristics that permit the preservation of such species. Compared to other areas, this area preserves its flora and fauna with the least human intervention.
Plant life in this reserve is comprised of a large number of trees, shrubs, lianas, and weeds.
