[DR1] Matters "under control" at JCE

Ruben Perina, chief of the Organization of American States observers mission, said that the cross-checking amongst political parties should again guarantee the success of the election in the DR. "Something that we find interesting here in the DR is the cross-checking among the political parties and that gives us lots of peace of mind and confidence that it is the Dominicans who truly control the electoral process," he said yesterday, as reported in Hoy newspaper. During a visit to the JCE, he and Elena Brinemann, director of USAID in the DR praised the organization of the elections.
