Re: 07/2007 - Continental/United Deals to the DR.
Found this. Not a bad deal. $360 for a RT to STI from EWR for the first week of June.

Looking into the month this is what I saw.

yeah, they're just launching the EWR-STI route in June so there should be a lot of pretty solid low fares to STI.
Re: 07/2007 - Continental/United Deals to the DR.
Nashville is the worst. They are showing flights through Panama just to get to STI TO DAYS LATER. Leave on a Wednesday afternoon and arrive on a Friday afternoon....and the cost....more than double what you posted. I need a better airport to depart from.

I know Irie lives in TN and drives to Atlanta to get his flights now. Apparently they are VERY cheap, considering all the trips he's taken in the past few months.:rofl::rofl:
Not sure how far that is for you.

ATL is an option sometimes. 4 to 5 hour drive. Gas there and back is about a hundred dollars. If the flight times are good and the price is cheaper then it is not too bad of an option. I'm use to the drive.
It worked out great when I left my car at LHDC house. Parking at the airport is not too expensive but I would have to be saving a couple hundred or more to make the trip.
Going to the strip clubs in atl is a good pre trip send off.

possibly most insanely good fare I've ever seen to the DR!
$225.50
Not a misprint. $225 roundtrip to DR. Direct flights, no less.
EWR-STI, several dates found in the first 2 weeks of December via United (Delta has $296 r/t direct flights out of JFK first week of December also)
confirmed on United.com

wow.
wish they were in January.

Damn I aint never leaving the NYC tri state area... That's insane for a flight to the airport. It takes me 20 minutes to get to the airport. Granted the cost of living is probably twice as much but door to door the DR is 4 hours.

Hmmmm........missed this one. I must have been in the DR.
Actually, the big thing for me is times. The flights out of ATL aren't cheap enough to make up for the drive, parking, etc. When the AA bankruptcy happened though, they canceled the early morning direct flight to MIA. Now I can't get there in time for the flight to POP without staying overnight. It's a no brainer now unless they start that flight up again.
