07/2018 - Images and Sounds. Dom Rep Summer 2018
I can attest to the fact that the best lanes and yards of the Caribbean are indeed filled to brim with the sought after wares, ain't no scarcity, you will be assaulted at each corner, parking lot and exit and relentlessly propositioned, 'Baby!', 'Papi!', 'Oye!" , 'Bello!', 'Venga por aca!' etc.
Steeping outside of this vortex to chill out and take on a new sport in Cabarete may be a respite for some folks.

I regularly carry my earplugs to Sinatra's, can't stand dining and hearing their Hotel California.
So, I am going to add some sounds to my images of Sosua; some of the season and some which are on my mind...

I wanted to name this album of images, 'quando calienta el sol', but the words of this song are too romantic; maybe one day I take a Mexican girl from her parents house and elope with her to Acapulco...

The second image from above, one with a lemony bright right side: take a closer look at the 'ghost image' behind the girls backs.

I am not a weekend warrior. I am a fortnight warrior, with ten days of bloody action and a few days off to correct for a rainy day in the trenches or a visit to a lazaret nurse for a bicillin shot in the buttocks.
A closure of bars at 1 am caught me off guard on couple of occasions.
Sunday to Wednesday nights all bars at the strip now are closed at 1 am, which leads to a fierce and sometimes ugly scene of competition when the left over girls stream out to the street. A buffoon security guy at Clasico's doors plays whack-a-mole with them arduously clapping his hands to disperse them.
At that late time I have no intention to ride a concho to the dark corners of Casino Playa Chiquita.
That leaves me a future option of a perfect 10 night trip, arriving on Thursday and leaving on Sunday morning next week, with two sets of Thursday to Saturday nights when the bars are closed at 3 am.

Around sunset you can stroll up from Hotel Alicia (former Yaroa, Casa Cayena, Sosua Sunrise) past the bar at the hotel's corner where you can already see a few ladies (and a guy at the bar who once used to sell his early teen ass with his sister at the gay gate of D'Latin disco) to Bon Bon ice cream past the New Garden hotel and turn onto PC and see girls everywhere up to the mini-Playero.
So, it's time to dine, look around and think about your date:
I had an arrangement to met a girl, and I was kind of late
And I thought by the time I got there she'd be off,
She'd be off with the nearest truck driver she could find
Much to my surprise there she was sittin' in a corner
Little bleary, worse for wear and tear
Was a girl with far away eyes ....

You want photos of them then take them yourself. Then you can post them here for everyone else.

I believe Jimmy is on vacation. He'll get back to you or try again in a week or so.

The sand is gone... March storms reshaped the coastline and brought tons of sand from the central part of the beach up to the three stone pillars, a remnant of what was left of the pier of the banana company. The pier was destroyed during the earthquake, leaving the pillars partially submerged for more than a century. Now the fortunes of the casitas lessees and chairs renters have changed. The part of the beach from around number 120 to 150 is now exposed bleached basalt (or maybe limestone; believe me there are folks who can vehemently argue this topic in the heat..)
Well, the planet is changing. But with large beers only ten pecitos more at the beach that at the store, please feel alive while it lasts, (somehow seeing that the sand was gone, it reminded me of Bukowski after his tenure at the post office, wandering along the beach in a search of an angry bird...)

Primitive art is Sosua stays the same, but at the same time every season there is something subtly new...

Met Rosa at Sosua Lights, a nice looking fuller body chica, and after beers and some grinding took her home.
We agreed that she won't stay till morning, and I would part with two red notes and one green to contribute to the cause of her choice.
I was in the mood, she followed. Usually I turn on aircon, fan and Latin music channel, bring drinks to the sofa area. Occasionally chicas rush for a toilet straight from the doors, and it can be fun too with exhibitionists.
Now, this Rosa rushes straight to the fridge, and yells that she was hungry. OK, I am a bit in dismay. Usually I have drinks, fruits and simple food for a fast breakfast. She grabs a bun. Tells me to cut a piece. I cut her a piece. She looks at it and tells me she does not like it and asks to cut another. Ok, I cut her another. Then she lurks into the fridge, finds butter and asks to spread it. Ok, I comply in dismay. After a bite, she goes back to the fridge, finds a box of eggs and tells me to fry her some eggs... At this moment my switch goes into another mood. 'Look, - I tell her, - here are 200 pesos, go grab some food'. She goes ballistic and demands her contribution, - right now!
Ok, I put the pesos back into my pocket and ask her to leave. She curses and calls me a cheapskate.
'Largate!' - my only message to her.
I would gladly cook for a chica in the morning, dine with her or help her if she was hungry, but frying something when I had a woody was not in my plans.
And you know what, next day on the beach during the lunch time, do you know whom I see munching at Comida Maria? - You have guessed right, - Rosa!
So, what is the policy on feeding hungry chicas?

Have to resize them, add a handle, rename them, upload to the album, then open and copy them into another window in the post thread, but I get a lot from you guys posting, so I have to do my part.
When I was a kid I had a translated book called 'Tales of Africa' or something like that. I remember one tale where a mighty king asked the people of the village to bring their home wine in jars for the communal feast, and to pour them into one big jar. They did. However, when they started to celebrate, and tasted out of this one big jar, it was only water. Each member of the community decided that no one would find out about his little cheat when he pours water but not wine.
Anyway, this forum will be always good as long as we contribute.

Thanks to ezsmile and daddyooo I visited Elvis' place, took a couple minutes and 100 pesos concho ride there. There is one road through the town from High Caribbean and another one, a turn left from the highway (towards Cabarete) to Oceans Village. This road was not closed by security. There is a huge development going on (? the golf course).
PF is open every day from 10 am to 2 am. ST $100 - 3 hours, LT - $150 from anytime to 10 am next day. All upfront. I don't know how they organise transportation.
I would say that the place exceeded my expectations. I liked maybe 10 girls from about fifty at that noon time, and probably would easily find a girl to take her out if I wanted.
Most of the girls that I liked were about 21 to 23 years old, all well developed, tall, busty, beautiful faces, etc. I would say that the best of them can be on par in looks with Colombianas.
I had no plans to take them this trip, it was just not in the plans, but in the future there is likelihood I would do, if the place still in operation.
In my view it creates some sort of an upper standard.
Clearly, majority of them would not show up at PC.
Moreover, many of the clients would not show up at PC either.
Now, I take them at their looks, and they have it, no argument.
Does it mean, that I would necessarily have a great time with them? No guarantee.
Basically, she has to like me or play it well, then I have to convey to her, what do I like, and she has to perform, and by performance I also mean perform emotionally, naturally, be self driven, open minded, easy going etc.
I have spoken with a few loaded guys, and they did not rush to PF, because they were not sure if they can convey their wants and needs, or maybe lead the girls in a specific way they liked them to be. I do suspect, that sometimes it's easier for them to get a street rat and manipulate her, and squeeze every drop of sweat out of her.
Now, LT has a completely different dynamics, because a great time with a great lady has to be planned, in my view, maybe to take her to the beach, some food together, a party or a disco or whatever, but ultimately this may be a future goal.

One look at the erosion of this cliff ought to show anyone that the bedrock under Sosua Bay isn't basalt.
