Got a trip booked and paid for and am just about ready to head to the fucking Philippines instead.

Mine as well. Feel sorry for Jenny, Nicky ( waitresses), and the other staff who will now be out of work. :( As is the case here so very often, less then 24 hrs I can't believe the rumors that are already being spread among the locals.:icontd: Thanks for the photo Siochana , for those that may not recognize the name, it's the Italian restaurant next door to Britannia on PC.

I got to be very friendly with the owner and staff....I know they're devastated...too

So thats two spots that have burned down on PC in the last few months as Jolly Roger went up in flames back in March or April.

Is the investigation still ongoing as to what was the cause? Arson....electrical.....gasline? As has been mentioned many times, I would hate for myself or anyone on here ( well, anyone at all for that matter!) to get caught inside Classicos if that place ever caught fire.

I hope the owners are able to rebuild. Hopefully the community will pitch in to help them out. I've had a couple of tasty meals in there before. The pizza was pretty good!

It's not fun reading about all the negative stuff going on with Sosua. I'll continue to put more stock in posts from those who live there as to what the latest speculation might be, but just keep in mind, Sosua's location will always be a strength as you are just a short taxi ride to somewhere else where, admittedly, the action might not be at a blast furnace level, but at least you are away from all the nonsense.

Thats a real shame - great people who ran the place - cant remember his name but a real good guy, and I would go as far to say it was the best meal we had in Sosua - 4 times in 2 weeks!

The owner's name is Marco. A great guy with a really interesting past.
