11/2016 - Where can I get distilled water in DR?
I was recently treated for sleep apnea (years, if not decades, after I should have been). I have a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine to help me breathe while I sleep.
I am heading down to BlackBeards next week, and I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get distilled water that the machine needs to run on. I will use bottled water in a pinch, but distilled is better. I figure my best bet is La Sirena in Puerto Plata, but I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with this there.
Thanks!

I dealt with it. I had to get it at la sirena in Santiago. It was quite difficult to find. But you'll probably have luck in pop.
Regular water fucks up the machine. You'll notice the metal plate(at the bottom of the plastic housing for the water) start to rust a little in a very short amount of time...

I found it here in Sosua at Playero in the automotive section, for batteries etc.

Thanks daddy. Unfortunately, I won't be that close to Sosua. I'll be at BB's and coming from the opposite direction (Santiago). I'll try La Sirena.

I've seen it almost everywhere, and this is the type I avoid when I look for mineral water.

Any of the big gas stations SHOULD have it .. try there first.

Most large auto parts stores offer distilled water by the gallon. You should never use tap water in a battery here!

Id love to see the look on a hookers face when you break out the cpap machine and strap on the mask before bed. While she's putting on her tubi... jjjjjjj

Yeah, I was thinking about that also! :)
I just got the machine and, although I've travelled with it a couple of times, this will be my first time taking it on a mongering trip (OK, I mongered on the other trips, but not in my hotel room, and it wasn't the primary purpose of the trips).
Still, I'm usually a ST guy, not TLN, so it probably won't be an issue.
Maybe I'll put the mask on anyway and see if she can blow me without laughing!
