Just saw this on the Air Canada Website
Travelling to the Dominican Republic?
As of April 30, 2012, Canadian citizens will need a valid passport to travel to the Dominican Republic. Canadian citizens without a valid passport will not be allowed to enter the Dominican Republic and will be returned to Canada.Visit the Government of Canada website for more information on entry requirements for the Dominican Republic, or view our travel documents page for other essential information. http://www.aircanada.com/en/news/trav_adv/120224.html
No more travelling on just any photo ID.

The DR government realized that there was way too much WU coming in to the chicas, and fucking up the pay scale. So they're trying to make it a little bit harder for the WU suckers to get into the country!!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

the dr has finally closed some loop holes:rofl:
since 06?ish we needed a passport to GET ON the plane but we could just use our drivers liscence etc to go thru customs there. ( no passport stamps to explain at home:wink:..............but cuba is still sticking with scanning your passport but will only stamp it if you specifically ASK for them to:corky:)

That..............and also the stamp doesn't appear on my passport because Cuban customs sometimes don't have enough ink left in the ink pads :mrgreen: :lol:.

i think they got a new shipment of ink the same time as the toilet paper issue was resolved
