For more than the basic there is the small Playero just up from the beach access off Pedro. The Supermercado on the highway just up from there for more selection. Another store down the highway past DR Rosen about a block or 2. Lastly there is Super Pola at the other end of town down by Tradewinds. Best choice and selection are at the Supermercado and Super Pola, more like NA style grocery stores with a lot of choices for booze.
Best place I've found for alcohol choice is Surf Liquor on Pedro. A few blocks past Citylights/Big Mamma's on the other side of the street. I'm biased though since it is the only place I've found my Zacapa 23yr old rum. :corky:
The only pharmacy I've used has been the one beside the small playero on PC, needed stuff for an obnoxious migraine and the had OTC stuff. Worked and didn't grow an extra head. Only issue with the pharm and playero is the accumulation of beggars and change/viagara/chicas vendors right in front.
As for Vitamin V & C, the sellers are everywhere. Shop around for price. Don't have to so didn't do so.
This was mentioned recently in another thread, but Mini Market Latinos just down from Infinity Blue on calle A. Martinez is the way to go for generic V imo. I purchased a box of 96 (100 mg) pills the other day for 975 pesos.
.......not that I need them either.........:smile:

I just wanna say thanks, I'm trying to line up a trip this summer. This report has
been invaluable for me as far as "boots on the ground." It seems we have a similar
style for mongering, I just wanted to say thanks for great info. It is appreciated!
Re: 12/2014 - 15/11 to 30/11 - Boots on the Beach.
I only carry the nights drink/food money. The chica money is pre-stashed in the room before venturing our for the night. Bulk of the money is in safe/pacsafe depending on location.
Only theft concerns so far are pickpockets (maybe just been lucky or being a weightlifter has advantages after all :corky:).
Anyone wants to rob me, they get minimal.
I've had a credit card skimmed in the past and a friend had a credit card skimmed that had a $80,000 limit (business card) but was caught before use.
Both have their pro's and con's. Whatever you are most comfortable with.

Hope the stars align and you get there.
"I am only standing on the shoulders of giants" as the quote goes. Without all the information in the paid section it would have taken longer to get to the point where I feel I can give back.
Thanks for the feedback.

The trip begins again in March.
Staying for 17 days at D'Piero, good rate and well located for me.
Thanks to daddyooo for the info and also to XXX for mentioning in the past and putting it on my radar. Walked past it every day when I was at the Palms.
Will be interesting to see the changes, hopefully not the playa yet though.
Hope to see some familiar faces and meet some unfamiliar faces.
D'Piero has small apartment for $40 a night if over 2 weeks. Includes breakfast for one and airport pickup/dropoff. Even cheaper for longer term but I'm happy with what I got.

Re: 12/2014 - 15/11 to 30/11 - Boots on the Beach.
I have stayed at D'Piero a few times and I like the place for the most part
The location is actually kinda nice being a little off the beaten path and since I hang out on that side of town alot it is convenient.
The apartments are fine but some of the regular hotel rooms are kinda small and those are on the third floor. :(
And to get the $40 rate on a short term basis you are pretty much going to have to take one of the smaller rooms.
But every room I have been in is pretty nice and they keep it clean.
My friend did however have issues with ants in his first floor apartment but I think there tend to be more creepy crawlies on first floors than third cause I have never had any in my rooms there.
There are also a few rooms there that the wifi is not the best but I wouldn't be surprised if that has been addressed as well.
The airport pickup and dropoff is nice and is free if you stay for like more than 4 days
I guess they offer free breakfast there but I can't tell you if it is good since I have never been awake early enough there to partake.
Plus the staff there is friendly there.
Re: 12/2014 - 15/11 to 30/11 - Boots on the Beach.
The rate quoted was for an apartment. The rooms were slightly less.
Maybe they have a smaller apartment, but it was not for a room. I also booked months ago when I got a flight seat sale.

Re: 12/2014 - 15/11 to 30/11 - Boots on the Beach.
True enough, they did say that since it was 2 weeks or more that was the rate.
Cheapest I've had so far and I prefer that end of town now.
