But if they are true I should think Barahona's results are due to the proximity to Haïti where the AIDs rate is higher (though not as high as is sometimes quoted).
If by Puerto Plata it means the province rather than the city, then that figure could be explained by the inclusion of Sosúa with its huge and rapid turnover of whores.
