Hope it goes up some before next week when I get back. At least 33-34 would be nice
I was hoping for 40 by next week.
I think 30 or 31 is gonna be the best we see for awhile.
They (the government) are serious about stabilizing the peso, which is a good thing. I watched the dollar climb and fall like a Wallenda on my last trip, and it was no fun to have to check with a cambio every 30 minutes.
I'm allright with that price, as long as it stays around there hour to hour and day to day.
The problem , as noted early, is the MP's have not yet come down in prices (Imagine that!) to match the peso. A little firm negotiating on everyone's part will bring that back down, I would think. Same with the chicas. I noticed a very quick adjustment in prices, as they found they weren't getting 2000 ( like when the peso was nearing 50) for anything.
at banco de reservas 27.75 this morning. well, its sunday, so its not for real.
back to 30 to 1
