Ah avenida espana. I lived a half block from Hotel Acuario back in 1999. El tronco is cool but music is LOUD. The car washes that mr happy mentioned one of them is named VIP. Place is crawling with chicas but not for newbies. I was there one night it was so crowded I was sitting on a plastic presidente case. Then a white jeepeta drove by firing at least 10 rounds. . . . .check please.

Cheenos old spot Tibi tabo is on espana. Jazzys used to be. Hotel acuario is on Calle dos in isabelita. If you walk less than one block on calle dos you will hit cafe 47 or some similar name. Last time I was there they had a bunch of hotties but attitude was not great. I think the chica running it is the "esposa" of the guy that owns Sutra and Mansion.

You would also be near charles de gaulle which had 2 MPs right near each other. Fronter which is run by a gal that used to manage mona lisa and a new place tentacion that I have only been to once. It was run by what appeared to be some dominican yorks, but last time I stopped by there were kids playing out front and a woman claimed there was no bar or MP there. . . .funny as there was a sign as you enter the house that said "no armas de fuego". I never had a no fire arms sign in any place I lived.

I never stayed at Acuario but my mom did for 2 nights and grey dread seems to dig it. If using the taxi acuario guys out front ask for Elias. . . .good people.

Anybody ever stay at the Hotel Acuario at the other end of Isabelita?

I used to live in Residencial Antares, across the street from VIP. I got to see(well, hear) many a concert there.

Great thing about living in that neighborhood was that there is lots of places to hang out, but, like partyr said, not really for newbies. Lucky for me I've got my trusty Harley, that knows it's way home all by itself.

It's been a long time since I've hung out over there. It was my stomping grounds back in the late nineties.

It sounds like you've got that bike running. Be careful out there. I'll see you in a couple months. I fired all my old "novias" on this trip and started recruiting new ones. I gotta get back soon to check my traps.

The Eagle Sports Bar is da shit!! It's like the DR's version of Hooters! I bought one of the waitresses there some flowers from a street peddler and damn near all the girls wanted to go home with me. I love that spot just for the eye candy. But even if you only have the box that "game" comes packaged in, you can score yourself a waitress or two! And if you can speak ten words of espanol, you can have 'em all.

But remember guys, this is not a whorehouse, so act cool around the girls and just shoot the shit with one or two. You won't believe your luck.

Yes, that place is a must see if even for a quick bite to eat and to watch the eye candy. The food I had there wasn't bad. I was only there about three times but each time there was about 3 or 4 of us ordering. The one appetizer tray was big enough to share between four of us and had a nice variety of things that the girls liked as well as myself.

I will say that I couldn't help feeling like I was sitting along a trade route in the desert because every time I looked up I saw camel toes!

Is there anything interesting within walking distance of the Hilton? What about the casino in the Hilton?

Are you looking for pros or non-pros? All of your answers are in the Santo Domingo section.

If you like gambling in a clean, relaxing, and quiet environment, then I highly recommend the Majestic Casino (in the Hilton).

Not many freelancers hang out at the Majestic casino. But many spoiled and rich girls come and gamble away their parents' money.

I checked and it seems its not a very good idea to walk to any of the interesting places from the Hilton. Are there any taxis waiting outside? Can the taxi drivers understand a little English? Do the clubs offer drivers to pick you up and take you home?

Don't take the cabs that are on the Hilton property. Instead walk down the Malecon a bit and get an Apollo cab that is parked on the road. These taxis are much cheaper.

What is the normal taxi rate? From the airport to the Hilton, and from the Hilton to some of these interesting places?

    Thanks for your info,

It cost around 1,000 pesos from the airport to the Hilton hotel.

What interesting places are you referring to?

    Re: GFE in S. Domingo

I'd suggest offering a street taxi (not at the hotel entrance) $100RD to take you to the Jaragua. It's just a few blocks walk but not to be undertaken at night. From the Jaragua you are literally an easy (block and a half radius) walk to Girl House, Lapsus, La Parada, Tabu and Sky High, not to mention the many Chicas freelancing along Ave. Independencia which is the street at the rear parking lot entrance to the hotel compound.

There are also places to eat and drink all over the area of the malecon where the 4 star hotels are and the food at the Jaragua isn't that bad either. Hotel Melia also has a nice restaraunt and last trip they had a lunch buffet which was really good. "Tropical" restaraunt is across the street on the malecon and the food and atmosphere are not to be missed. If you take a Chica there to eat she's guarranteed to toss your salad later.

It's better to walk to the casas from the Jaragua than to take a cab straight there as the drivers always want in on the "salida" fee. Also stay away from the "guides". They can not offer you anything that you can't do for yourself and will only drain your funds and also attempt to get in on the "salida" fee.

There are so many threads on Santo Domingo here that it's almost impossible to screw up there. Oh yeah...brush up on your Spanish. In my trip report from last month I highly recommended "La Parada" as they've chased out the old crack whores and brought in a wealth of busty, new talent of real professionals who are sure to please. Watch out, though. These are real pro's and they are looking for "top dollar" so you'll have to stick to your guns on your acceptable price range. Some of those Chicas looked good enough to make me flinch during negotiations and I'm a real cheap ODB, just as hardcore as them. It's hard to maintain a poker face with a set of D-cups in your hands.

    de nada...

Everyone gets to have their perspective recognized and respected equally. I haven't lived your life and you haven't lived mine so we're going to have a few opinions in common and some, not so much.

The one thing that brought us all to this forum is the most important in the grand scheme of things and that's all that counts.

    Punani
    .

I'll be posting up my next trip plans. They may happen sooner than I'd planned, depending on how the airfares hold up...they're looking pretty good right now

There's a whole lot of guys cancelling trips to the D.R. who are not as committed to Dominicanas as I am. I consider it my solemn, sworn duty to maintain my contributon to our collective support of these important allies regardless of any momentary monetary inconvenience it may cause me, personally.
