    Cabarete price I paid

I paid US$40 a day for a Honda CRV Jeepeta model 98, on normal gas for a period of 7 days. At a rate of 30 to 1, so 1,200 pesos a day. They started out with a price of US$65 a day. This included all costs and I had a limited liability of US$1,500.

    My experiences:

I covered around 1,200 kms with the car, in day and night over all kind of roads.

2 flats - paid RDS$ 40 for one and RDS$ 300 for the other because it needed a tube inside (actually was a blow out)

Broke the exhaust pipe underneath the car - went to a little shop in Rio san Juan and they welded it within 1/2 hour, we drank some Presidentes and I paid RDS$ 450

the outfit was called chelo rentals... by the way, at the far end of the Cabarete strip towards Yasica (not towards Sosua).

I really feel you need a jeepeta for traveling there a normal car would not last on these roads
