DO NOT let anyone carry your bags!

You can change into $RD at Judy's Cambio.
SUPER SUPER Liquor store also pays a great rate....right near Europa Hotel. If it's late night, the Cigar store right past Harrisons pays a decent rate as well, and has good cheap cigars. I stay clear of the guys changing on the street unless you know one. They do a three card monty with the big bills and little bills!

    Bien Viaje!

    $RD32/$USD right now
Just for the record here... Super Super wanted to give me 30-1 when i was getting an easy 32-1 on the streets and 32.50 from my buddy at Tutti Frutti

I doubt it El nuevo presidente is trying to stabilize the economy...

Large fluctuations in the peso will not help him attain this goal.

WSJ3...Methinks el presidente (& his "partido") is just trying to line his fukkin' pockets by doin' a little insider trading D.R. style! LOL

No "administration" is going to stabilize the D.R.'s economy...all that talk is just posturing and lip service (i.e. "politics"): The true goal is to amass as much money for your retirement as you can during your term, and then toss the "bitch" (the "economy", if you will) to the next politico in line for the job.

    You know...PUFF, PUFF, PASS................................LOL!

    The Lechero Fx report

Gordon Gecko Fernandez SHORTED the DOLLAR@ 45!
That is why it was magically dropped to 28 in a week.
It is on an uptrend until January 1st due to Holiday spending and Cash gifts to natives as well as tourist Dollars coming in.
You want to be long Dollars until January..........

    1 US Dollar = 31.42700 Dominican R. Peso
1 Dominican R. Peso (DOP) = 0.03182 US Dollar (USD)

    Median price = 30.28600 / 31.42700 (bid/ask)
    Minimum price = 30.28600 / 31.42700
    Maximum price = 30.28600 / 31.42700

no doubt brudda... i still get the best rate hands down near the park in La Vega.... 33.20 in La Vega and 32.50 in Sosua... I also got ciggs for 300 + impuestos ( i think thats the word for tax) it came out to 350 pesos for a carton of marlboros in Santiago and 380 or 390 was the lowest i could find in Sosua... everything is cheaper in La Vega and Santiago... including pussy most of the time.

    flat, but risky

I woulda /shoulda played the market four months ago with RD values falling, but now it is a bit questionable as to where they might go. Stability does not help the trader. And the RD has been around 31-32 for some time now."Some time" being relative.
