    Re: Viking's

I'm not trying to be negative but why pay so much for one night of fun in DR?? I know there are chicas just as hot to be had for much less!!!! Again if you have the money then spend. But if you can spend a night at this place why even leave the country?? These chicas look like high end escorts I see here in the States.

If you want a certain type of woman that you feel can't be found in DR go somewhere else. There are so many places to see in this world so IMHO there is little reason to limit yourself to a 1,400USD a night resort

My plan now is, to arrive at Vikings on the 3rd of February for a 3 night stay, and then (after much research on ISOC) spend three more days in Sosua before hooking up with my sis and bro.
I'm not loaded with money, just had to experience the top of the line for one time in my life while I can still enjoy it.
The whole mongering scene in DR has got me fascinated and I am looking forward to new experiences.
Any help or advice from the old hands (and no, I don't mean old as in age) would be most welcome.
I hope to see some of you guys while I'm there
This will put you in a very unique situation. You'll be able to compare the two lifestyles one after the other.

Having interacted on many occasions with "guys with money", I can understand why they would lay out that kind of money to spend time with girls that are, for most practical intents and purposes, the same level of looks and intellect as a lot of girls that are available for a lot less(though not necessarily in Sosua)

Most of them have a "Hey, I've got lots of money, why not" attitude about everything. Why drink a bottle of wine that costs 10 bucks, if you can afford a bottle that cost 100 bucks? Why drive a Toyota, if you can afford a Lexus?

Those guys are seldom seen in Sosua either, because it's not part of "their world"

There's a lot of them too, which is why these $$ places haven't gone under, and in fact, are being emulated more every day.

Since this is going to be a one shot deal for you, it will be interesting to hear your opinion on how much difference there is between the two( Vikings & Sosua)

I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes.
If you think it's love try not paying in the morning..

    Re: Viking's

Looking at the pictures of the girls from Vikings, they are prettier than the European girls who work at The Doll's House in Santo Domingo.

But I think the Latina girls at Foxy's are prettier than the girls from Vikings. But again, we are comparing European to Latina girls so its like comparing apples and oranges.........or is it?

Anyway, the pictures of the girls from Vikings look very nice. But I would not pay $1,400 a night.

    Re: Viking's

It seems that it's not about overpaying, it's about what you seem to be getting. Whether or not you actually get it, is open to opinion.

It's for someone that wants the high end, white, European bombshell.

I, myself, love the look, but since personality is much more important to me than looks, (as long as she's not fugly) I would not pay that much for a possibility of a great time with a perfect body.

Besides, I've read a couple of reports about the place, and from what I've read, it's not exactly the greatest experience going. They have their problems. One thing I've read is that the girls have a quota. If you think you'll spend the whole day in bed with a godess, you will be sadly disappointed. From what I've read, you get one in the AM and one at night. They expect you to take them places and do activities during the days.

As for the wealth necessary to use this place, let's not kid ourselves. Any one of us could afford this place if we really chose to. We could put it on a credit card, if need be, or go on fewer trips.

I'm not advocating that, by any means, but we could do it.

You have to admit it, though, the broads are damn hot.

Interesting definition of being able to afford something: "you could put it on a credit card".

One of my good friends spent 4 days there (between Sousa and Cabarette) in 2004. It cost him $4,000.00us and he had a great time and as you point out they are beautiful. But he will not go there again because as beautiful as they were they were very professional and he did not have the feeling of a GFE.

He likes the feeling of helping out a poor mother of 2 or 3 children along with the feeling that she likes to be with him for a week. She needs the money but she also likes the attention of a man caring for her and it shows.

He's been to the Philippines and Thailand a few times and even though they are very compliant they are not a passionate as the Dominican chicas. That is why he comes back to the Dominican Republic time after time.

There is no way I would ever pay 1,400us per night. I couldn't fuck enough in one night to justify the expense to myself. And if i am in the DR I would prefer to fuck Dominican chicas with a few Haitian chicas thrown in.

See that's what I'm thinking. If I want hot chicas like the ones in the vids, my happy ass is going to Argentina. The prices for everything is quite comparable to what I was paying for everything in MDE.

I thought one of the many reason why many of us go overseas was to AVOID these prices.

As I told El Plomero previously, repeated surveys of job satisfaction in the UK over several decades place plumbing very high up. Much to my surprise, as I would think they often have to work in cold, wet, smelly and dirty environments. Equally surprising is that electricians are always low down. The money in plumbing is good too. If I had started as a plumber when I left school I would be able to live permanently in the Viking Resort by now.

Hey does anyone remember "Platinum Palace" in Santiago? I didn't get a chance to check it out. Is it still around.

Also check out what I found. If you wanna "ball till you fall" then this place has TWO locations to exhaust your cash

Most people use credit cards as revolving credit lines which allow them to pay for their purchases over time, albeit with some vig. This allows those who don't have the money to buy a TV, but have a little extra that they can throw towards one to fly now and pay later.

People do not really save and then purchase when they have the money saved anymore.

As long as you don't let your credit card debt get out of hand, you can do this periodically without causing yourself too much financial damage.

If you constantly run a credit card balance, you are obviously living beyond your means, but to do it occaisionally for something special, I see no harm in that.

For the right guy, Vikings could be such a purchase.

I am not advocating that, nor would I consider doing it, myself.

Not that plumbers make dogshit here in the U.S., but comparatively speaking, we make less here than out European counterparts.

Very strict labor rules/organizations make the conditions somewhat better in Europe, as well.

As I said in a previous post, I got this information because I belonged to a Franchise chain that has Canadian, Australian, and European arms. Plumbers from all of the arms gather yearly to compare notes at the Company reunion. We've had some interesting conversations with out European counterparts regarding the differences in real dollar (pound?) compensation levels, benefits, and working conditions as well.

I will say this, and I know that very few have sympathy for us, but we work very hard for what we get doing things that most people wouldn't even think of doing for 10x the money.

Granted, we get used to somethings the way nurses get used to bedpans, but many of the plumbing methods have serious hazards attached to them.

To name a few: Methyl Ethyl Ketone, which is a carcinogen with an almost zero maximum allowable exposure limit, is used every time we work with PVC pipe and fittings. Lead, which has been linked to chromosomal abnormality issues when absorbed through the vapors when we melt it to make Cast Iron joints and from handling it anywhere in the process. Various bacteriological hazards are present whenever we work on drain lines containing fecal matter. (shit) Various mechanical hazards when we use grinding and cutting tools in confined locations. Burning hazards whenever we use an open flame to sweat copper, melt lead, or use a torch to heat corroded joints to be disassembled for replacement/repair. Chemical burns when using a variety of drain cleaning chemicals. And last, but not least, are the mean housewives and senior citizens who, after you emerge many hours after entering their basements, covered in sweat and their shit, who take a bite out of your ass for daring to charge them more than their Insurance agent husband makes or what they get each month in the mail.

Again, I'm not expecting any sympathy.

Viking's-another monger makes a valid point for all-inclusive resorts

I realize that Al says it was his choice not to take anyone home that night. But for a lot of guys it is a concern. "If I only have 4 nights, what happens if I go out and can't find anyone I like?" There's a whole day shot. I don't know about Sosua, but in many places the working girls don't come out until late. What if I don't want to go hang out at some noisy disco or bar at 10 pm to try to negotiate with a girl in my non-existent Spanish to get her to come back to my room before midnight? Like I said, I don't know Sosua, but I can tell you a great story about riding in a taxi all around San Jose, Costa Rica looking for a girl at 8pm.

An all inclusive gives an inexperienced or nervous guy some reassurances:

    * Everything is taken care of -- all transportation, food, drinks. If you are a big consumer, you might even make it worthwhile. How much would it cost for two short times plus a TLN plus all meals for you and your girls plus all the alcohol you can drink plus transportation plus a luxury room at a hotel?
    * You are in the company of other guys who are there for the same reason you are. No chance of getting a hotel full of holiday travelers. Want to have sex in the pool at 2am? Cool. Ever had a blowjob contest in the hot tub? Not at a regular hotel.
    * There is always someone there to help you with Spanish if you need it. They can hold your hand with anything that might make you nervous -- changing money, arranging an excursion, renting a sailboat for the day.
    * The girls are there 24 hours. If you wake up at 9am and want a blowjob, you are set.

I'm not saying that an all-inclusive is the best choice for everyone. Different resorts have different policies on changing girls, but in any case the variety will be less than if you have all of Sosua to choose from. Some guys actually like "the hunt" for the girls. Other guys just want to be alone and not worry about other guests or nightly parties. If you don't drink and only really want to have a girl for a couple of hours each day, an all-inclusive makes little economic sense. And yes, they are expensive. But for a guy who gets one shot a year at five nights of fun, it may be worth it not to worry about striking out, getting into arguments with a girl, or any of the other hundreds of things that can go wrong on a monger vacation.

Dude, everything you just mentioned can be done at Blackbeard's for a 10th of the price.

Some people just have too much money

    Thumbs Down My 2 Cents

I always say if you can afford it why not... but for that kind of money you can go anywhere in the world to get that kind of treatment or maybe even better and with any type of girl you want...shit you can get that here in the states...but why would you go all the way to DR to be with a european chick...I mean when I think DR...I want a chick with a thick spanish accent, a sexy curvy body and screams papi ...not a pale, skin and bones chick with an english accent..for that cause I would go right to Paris....

    just my thought
It's always happy hour somewhere in the world...

I always live by the philopsphy if its your money then spend it as you see fit and fuck what others say but shit......... $1400 per night thats my weekly budget in Sousa, besides Eastern European women just don't turn my crank like a good young latina, (preferably from the campo), thats just opinion and preference
A blowjob a day helps keep the doctor away!!

I also found this quote after searching for CharlisAngels:

"Thanks for all the replies. I think the discussion of $1000 a night Adult Resorts is counter productive to the name monger. Unless the place has salidas, the chicas get paid or it is a licenced massage parlour in the DR then it will not be talked about on ISOC anymore.

For those with deep pockets please drop a few bucks on ISOC. Read up and enjoy a vacation on your own terms. Not some resorts. Thankyou, thread will be closed. "

So, I don't know whether it would be appropriate or not to share *all* of my experiences about my maiden trip to the Sosua area. It included at least a "taste" of two of the "villas" and several days worth of the "hunt" in Sosua out of the New Garden.

I was completely naive about any of this sort of thing (other than a couple of trips to Costa Rica over a decade ago. The Viking thing was brought up to me by a tennis buddy a couple of months ago, and I was skeptical that such a thing even existed. While very pricey, it sounded like something that *had* to be tried once if it really existed - even if it *weren't* totally "affordable".

Unless I get a sense from further discussion on the subject by the forum regulars that there is real interest and that it is an appropriate subject for the forum, then I'll just stick with my Sosua mongering experiences.

As far as the other oft mentioned "all inclusives" such as the Mansion and BB's (I *have* been doing my homework ), I'm thinking that I ought to give them a look. My spanish is extremely rudimentary, although Google "translator" can be a *huge* help if wi-fi is available, so the "hand-holding" places do carry some appeal for me at this stage of my mongering "development".

    Give me some insight, guys.
