This is a trip report from Oct that I posted on terb, I have not included all the questions that were asked, but I think you will get the jist of what they were by my answers.


Back from D.R. - WOW
Well, just got back from d.r., stayed at Blackbeards
(Barba Negra) in Costambar (just outside Puerto Plata).

Excellent week there, weather 98 deg F plus most every day.

Girls: Lots to choose from, right at the hotel, or look
thru their book, select, and they will call and have
her brought to you!

Most of the girls there want 1500 pesos for 1 - 4
hours, but will negotiate down to a max of 1000 pesos.

Decided on an all nighter a couple of times, 11:00 a.m.
arrived, had fun all day, went to town, bar hopped,
back to hotel, into their fantastic Jacuzzi for a while, then to the room
till 9:00 am the next day - $100.00 cdn.

Great place for Hobbying!

Numerous questions went here!!!

Ok, well the "Staff" are NOT available. However there
are lots of girls hanging around, and if you don't like
those, you ask to see their "book" and they can call
any of those to come see you.

You can also bring outside girls in if you wish.

Now as for Cost!

Flight $410 + $200 dep. tax = $610 cdn.
Accomodations = $270 usd
Meals = around $60.00 usd for the week!
Girls = 10,000 pasos (aprox $300 usd) for the week,
every day, 2 overnights, 2 duos!

Dave, yes they do, normally somewhere around the bar.

Etiquite seems to be - chat to them at the bar (some
speak some english, some none, but most somewhere
inbetween, communicating is part of the fun). Then off
to the jacuzzi, where some fun can be had, bikini tops
usually dont last long in there! While in there you -
er- practice your negotiating skills - then up to your
room to shower with her, dry off, and well - make like
bunnies! Time can vary from 2 to 4 hours, or if
available all night is very common.

Accomodations 270?! For the week I'm assuming, not per night. Girls = 10k is that your budget for girls for the week, or you implying you pay Blackbeards 10k and they keep you supplied with girls (and not the same one every night) for the week?

Thats 10,000 pesos or $225

CDN is Canadian Dollars.
