    Problems seeing videos here!!

I'm having a problem seeing videos here. Could it be that my DSL basic is too slow to handle the bandwidth?? Does anyone else have this problem?

    What's your DSL speed?

When did you first start noticing problems?

    Change any settings recently?

Is it only videos uploaded here?
We surveyed 100 chicas and the top 69 answers are on the board. Here's the question...

    Verizon basic DSL download speed=773kbps

    DSL upload speed=136kbps

I didn't change any settings. I've always had the problem, just not as bad.

Wow! I take it no other options are available in your area? With the size of the videos being uploaded nowadays, it's gonna take at least 5 minutes for the video to start playing.

All options are available in my area. I just didn't want to pay more than $9.99 a month.

No changes lately. What type of videos, external links or uploaded ones?

I am still writing the video editing guide since some people upload very large videos using incorrect codecs.

I have the same problem and I have the highest internet option sold by Verizon Wireless. I have no problems watching videos from sites like youtube that are embedded here, however, I do with videos that are posted using windows media player or Quicktime. All of Jayman's videos and Kevy's recent one will not play for me.

Have you tried clicking the download link and then saving the file and trying to play it?

Sounds like an issue with your browser and player integration.

Tried that but it doesn't work. The problem only occurs on ISOC so i wouldn't want to mess with my player integration for one site when the other 99 areas i surf through have no issues.

Well if you can't play the video after downloading it to your PC then you are missing a codec for the movie, audio or video.

Can you reply with a link to a problem video and I can tell you which codecs it has.

Please remember all AVI's are not the same, just like all WMV's are not the same. The audio and/or video codec could be one of 100's of different codecs. avi/wmv/mov/etc is just a container (file extension in short) and doesn't determine the codecs used.
