sorry but this is not realistic imo.. go the DR1 site and read up on the threads there... some interesting stories on the exchange houses and where, when and how to exchange money

no way...one call to my favorite cambista which is Marpello the top rate for 10 k today is 29.5 (in the normal 100 -500 USD- Range it is 29 today)
so maybe NYC friend was talking about Euros

due to the expats streaming back into DR for christmas, there are to much dollars around. nobody is really interested in buying large sums. well, thats my humble statement, observing whats going on.....
