transfering planes and changing airports in NYNY

How big a pain in the ass is transfering planes and changing airports in NY. Say from JFK to La Guardia? It sounds like a real pain in the ass but is it?
Am I on my own in a cab or is a shuttle included in the price?

Everything in New York can be a pain in the ass.... But the transfer is not that complicated. Just look for the signs for "GROUND TRANSPORTATION". They have buses that can transfer you to different airports. Not sure of the cost. But it's not much.

I heard BB is offering taxi service for US$15 or RD$500.

Sorry don't live in NYC but you can go here and see for yourself:

They say 45 minutes by bus but if Rush Hour, expect at least 2 hours!

    thanks Tomas,

Not a big deal I guess. As always you have the info or where to find it. Hopefully next time we'll get to hang together more. You spent most of the time getting a BJ.

    I know this drill...

LGA to JFK, and vice versa - it's not to bad.

New York Airport Shuttle (http://www.nyairportservice.com/) runs between the two all day, every day. Takes about 35 minutes.

Cost is $13 each way, out-of-pocket. Airline provides nothing - you're on your own. Cab fare for same route - about $28.

I get the same option coming from Boston. I have trouble finding my transfer gate in the same terminal. Forget about changing airports.

Times are not that hard yet... I rather give you the $15 bucks then do the taxi service... Why not ask the airline if they offer the ground transfer between airports...

AA. - Hello this is American Airlines, how can I help you?

Customer - Well I am landing at Laguardia and need to get to JFK, do you provide shuttle service?

AA - No and if you miss your connection, its a $100 change charge.

Customer - But I am using your airline as the connector

AA - Too fucking bad, have a nice day, (Sucker)

    advice from a friend

An amiga, who was a long time NYC rez, advised me to firget trying the JFK/LGA chinese fire drill. She said if making connections in one airport makes your blood pressure rise, changing airports (especially these two) will probably pop your aorta. Decided against that right quick.

That would make the most sense. I was assuming that Apostropheman was thinking of doing it same day.
