    Residencial El Neptuno

Was walking around town and passed by El Neptuno's and was wondering if anyone stayed there before or have more info about the place. It's close to Sosua bay Hotel.

from what i hear not very chica friendly anymore( if you keep it on the down low shouldn't be a problem) ,but was a great place to stay 2bedroom/2bath.

I have stayed there 3 times now and will stay no where else. The manager Ramona is super cool. She will give you the speech about being cool with guests, but I have never had a problem bringing babes up. The night security guard is awesome also. The one time I had a problem with a chica he dragged her ass right the fuck out for me. Now if you wanna party like the New Garden and bring a bunch of chicas up at once and raise hell at the swimming pool than forget it. But for you and a wingman the place cannot be beat. Tell Ramona John from Florida sent you, you will have no problems.

Interesting how many of us have our favorite places which others might not be keen on. Partly it is a reflection of memories and associations of good or bad times for us, which may or may not be typical of the place overall. Partly of our different financial circumstances and expectations, and partly of our different styles of mongering. For example, I like quiet(ish), I like privacy, I like cheap(ish), I like close to public transport. Other guys will have different priorities (walking distance to the action, fun and games with fellow mongers, aircon, or whatever). Luckily on the North Coast there is a place for all of us.

    Re: Residencial El Neptuno

Stayed there quite a few times. Great place at a great price. And some of the apartments have a pretty decent view of the water and mountains. Walking distance from Pedro Clisante, and literally right around the corner from the beach. Only a slight step down from a Villa IMO.

Never had any problems taking chicas there, but then I'm not the loud and boisterous type. We used to pay $80 per night for a nice, well furnished 2bdrm.

Haven't stayed there in a couple of years but I really liked the place.

I stayed in Apartment A-6 in June 2009... No problems with security or management. Ramona will take care of you and give you advice on some of the Chicas. It was a great experience and only cost $450 for 7 days (2 bedroom condo).

    Re: Residencial El Neptuno

Does both of the bedroom have private baths? does it provide both mongers with privacy? Will we be in each others way? I'm thinking of staying there in September. I like the location, or should I stay at condos Dominicana in a 1 bedroom? Thanks,

    Re: Residencial El Neptuno

The master bedroom has a private bathroom ensuite, the "guest" bedroom has a full second bathroom right across the hall.

It is very private for two mongers, however el neptuno is a quiet complex with residents that can be a bit uptight about hooker heels at 3AM in the hallway! Don't even think about playing music past 11pm, in this nursing home.

Don't know if the complex has a general website, but a lot of the owners list their properties on various vacation rental sites.

I used to email one of the owners (Sue) directly at sosuaproperty@yahoo.com. But it been more than two years since I've stayed there and I don't know if this particular owner is still renting out her two condos. They were very nice, but we only used them as a back-up for when no villas are available.

I'd do a general google search for El Neptuno in Sosua. You're sure to find a few listings on vacation rental site.

I too prefer "quiet, low lying" times....

Check this spot out. Have studios, one and two bedroom. Low key spot, and laid back. Ask about AC.. b/c all units don't have it. But the location, property, and service were outstanding for me. www.condosdominicano.com Gets out off the beaten path so you can chill away from the hotel BS still only steps away from it all.
