Activities outside Blackbeards

Was wondering if anyone takes the tours while at BB's, or venture outside the resort during the day, like going to Playa Dorado or Puerto Plata?

Anyone know how far it is to Playa Dorado casino's or the Los Mangos golf courses?

Playa Dorado is about 15-20 min drive from BB.

Lots of fun "normal" stuff to do around the area . . . Sightseeing, Fishing, Horseback riding, A wicked cool waterpark, ATVs, titty bars

All I ever have time for is the titty bars . . .

Puerto Plata is 10 minutes by car, Playa Dorada is 15.

Los Mangos is in Costambar (as is Blackbeards) so walking distance (unless you are carrying clubs

)

Blackbeards sells tours to various activities. You can look at some of the offerings on their website.

They have a activity book near the entrance where the phones are. I've booked a few through them on my trips there. They are all good, John makes sure they are safe and legit. I've done the zip line tour which is good. They also have the cab trips, gone to the Mount Telifico (sp?) and the trip to Fort Felipe run by the cab companies. For the later trips if you manage to find a chica you like, bring her along, as they are relative cheap and having a chica with would be like having your own personal body guard as this would some what cut down on the begging you might in counter while walking around they city. Puerto Plata is very nice lots of nice restaurants along the Melacoln running along the water which is good during the day and the night.

That's one of the most perplexing things that has happened all of my life.

I set up a full array of activities every day of my vacation. I always put titty bars for the first thing each day, "to get it out of the way" if you will.

Sorta like:
7:00 am Coffee
7:10 am Titty bars
7:20 am go to bathroom
7:30 am sightseeing

Problem is, by 10:00 pm, I'm still full of shit, and still haven't made it to the bathroom. Time flies when you're having fun.......
