It's such a shame and a disgrace that in this post-9-11 age, such lapses in security could occur, and let's not forget about that couple getting into the white house. We have a lot of problems.

AC has pulled that lengthy BS laden blurb about staying in your seat....yadda yadda from it's travel advisories.
However still lengthy delays when travelling from to any US destination with additional scrutiny on flights to tourist locations (MCO..etc)
The one carry on rule is causing the issues as there's seems to be many people that either didn't get the memo or are being stubborn about they will and won't check, have also read that many departure gates are being closed until closer to flight times, this I don't understand.
Beginning tomorrow I will check to see if my destination (CLT) is being delayed much, my hopes are since it's a 6:30 AM flight, people should know by then what will and won't be allowed on the flight, and if people can stop disrupting the AMS-DTW flight I hope we'll be back to normal.
It's not going to happen, but I'd rather AC and other airlines flying to the USA delay passengers when checking in and give out a "carry-on" tag to each person (just one) Then you decide then what's important to you to have on the plane, doing this search at the gate just adds to the frustration, IMO. Plus doing it at the check-in gives you the option of not getting on the flight if you so desire. get to the gate and dig in your heels, flight goes nowhere until your baggage is found an removed.
Time to set up a new airline company: NNL AIRLINES
Naked and No Luggages!!!
we who don't break the law always suffer because of those who do and they always say it's for our protection. don't let the mutha fukka on the plane so i can bring my carry on instead of paying the friggin airlines to carry my bag!
What I also like in DR is this sensation of freedom far from the many rules of a developped country.
The problem in developped country is that people doesn't accept any risk anymore and prefer give up their freedom for being "protected".
Checked the YYZ departures this A.M. for YYZ-USA flights that were scheduled first thing in the A.M. (6:00-7:00 AM)

4 different flights, 4 different carriers, to IAD flying at 6:00 ALL canceled
Both Cincinnati, all 6 JFK, two BOS and two EWR canceled, will have to see if weather was a factor
The Chicago flights were 3 hours late, Detroit 2 hours and Atlanta 90 mins late, although see 4 other Chicago flights that did leave on time so consistency seems to be lacking. As well I see some flights to BOS that did go on time.
But the good news for me is the CLT flight left on time, I really hope this keeps up
I hope we have a return to normalcy as expected after NYE
