    150 pesos will get you anywhere in the city except the airport or somewhere far out like Camp David. I've learned that it's pretty much the standard rate.

    And that's also why I refuse to pay the ridiculous rates the taxis in Sosua charge. Much smaller city, but higher taxi rates. Doesn't make any sense.

    Anyone have updated info on what the current taxi rates should be now (around the city) in 2012? I see the last post was a long time ago.

    They have not changed. But of course they will try to charge us more! I paid 150 from Caribe tours to Monument a month ago.

    Thanks for that update. I will keep steady on 150. Are you supposed to pay more if you are going from hotel in Santiago to STI airport?

    Yes, that's considered outside City limits and they will charge you more. Alot more!!
