A guy a know who stayed there had a problem with a girl in his room (a real wacko i guess) he called the guard up to get her out and she wouldn't go for him either so he just left her there. He had to threaten to go to Lorenzo for him to finally do anything.
With the exception useless guard the place is awesome.

Sounds like the same guard from the Romanoff.

    Re: New Garden Hotel

sucks hearing about the security guard he didnt ask me for anything the whole time I was there.I did have a few beers with him a couple nights when I just saw him sitting outside and I was having a smoke break between giving the chica some poundings. I did hear he asked a friend of mine for 100 pesos one night though and he gave it to him.

If they guy does his job I can see throwing him a tip at the end of the stay which I did, but definitely not hassling people during their stay.

    Re: New Garden Hotel

i had a completely different reaction to the guard,,,
he was a nice guy who doesn't make much money,,,
i rented a moto for 10 days and parked it in their "garage",,
on 1 or 2 nites i brought the guy back some brugfal rum i got for 99 pesos,,
or i'd slip him 100 pesos a couple times during the trip.,,
imho it's nice to have the security guard on your side,,
always did that with the guys at the europa as well..
nice to have the guys that are carrying the guns on your side,,,
he'd watch my bike just that little extra and never asked for a cedula from my chicas...i'd just wave and he would do the same,,,
i always tip in the states and what the hell is 3 bucks here and there for the little fringe benefits it gives ya,,,

Not only am I'm not going to be shaked down by the security guard but I'll take the chica pass him not leaving the cedula either when they try that shit!!!!!! With that guy I didn't have any problems with except my last night when he asked my chica for her cedula when he didn't ask for hers the previous night. So I got close up to him so as not too front him off in her face and told him that him that was bullshit for doing that and I'm not giving him shit and we're not friends anymore

When the guards are taking care of me then I make sure they know I appreciate it...........

I agree. A couple of pesos thrown the security guard's way to look out for me doesnt seem a problem. Just as long as he doesnt have his hand out all of the time and his shinanigans doesn't prevent me from voltronin' up on some chocha.

Doesn't bother me to throw a small bottle his way, if it will mean a hassle free vacation. Remember we are not in the states. In the states we would just say fuck him and report him.

    Re: New Garden Hotel

I have no problem throwing the guy a few drinks or some pesos at the end of the trip as long as he has earned it. The people down there who just stand around with their hand out thinking they deserve something for nothing ruins it for the hard working people.

Work for your money like the rest of us!
