02/2010 - Your 5 Best Choices for Eating in Sosua

We all know places change and fall in and out of favor so I thought some recent opinions might benefit some people and be enjoyed.

Mine would be not necessarily in any order:

    Baileys
    Simply Red
    El Toro
    Rockys
    Morua Mai
    Just Doing It

Rockys has the best ribs. We would place our order in the morning and they would be ready for dinner, at the time we requested.

I usually survive off Susannas and Rockys....i make a pit stop at Tipico Albertos for the pita wraps as well (thanks Gdogg) not a big eater on vakay i like to stay light on my feet.

Honerable mention, the hot wings at Pedro Mcmurphys (are they closed???) and the pork/chicken stand across the street from classicos at night (albeit i dont know if he is still there) Lous shark bar.

I agree with EC it is the place on PC down at ground zero across from the clubs.
I went there with a couple of Italians from Piero and they claim to have eaten at all of them. I thought it was better than Bolgana but haven't tried that one down by PJ's above the beach.

To be precise I would say mid block on the South side of PC across from Bar Central perhaps a place or two toward the beach. They are closed during the day.

I love that spot too, especially when it's 4am and you just finished busting two nuts and the alcohol is wearing off and your tired and hungry, those artery clogging sandwiches are the fuckin best thing out.

That happens when your paying dime pieces 200 pesos for TLN, you tend to get spoiled.

I missed Orchidee on the list. Very good food, reasonable prices, and maybe the best pizza in town. would have been on my list together with News Cafe, Romanoff, Simply Red and maybe El Batey which isn't on the list either.

I don't want to doubt Apos since he is there he must have the name right but when we had pizza there it wasn't expensive but that is all we had 2 pizzas for 4 people and we inhaled them and left.

I like many of you don't mind spending much more money on a good meal if it is really a good meal. Hell we go out and have to spend $25-$30 for a decent steak or seafood dinner in the US why not enjoy it there too.

But I am cheap too and unless I know it is going to definitely please me I will be satisfied for a 10 buck pizza any day or the same for Mexican. Those 275 peso grilled chickens on PC on the corner by Europa satisfy my hunger after a good belly full of booze just as good.

The security guy always helps me finish it if I can't
