Monument in Santiago 2010

Some new monument picts from february 2010.

The prictures do not do it justice. It is more huge that i had imagines. I got there after 5:00 PM and could not go to the top. Just some pictures from outside.

I have loved your posts. Thanks for adding a Santiago flavor to what is usually Sosua specific. I stay in Cibao region most times when in country. I will make sure to hit the Ahi Bar karaoke this Sunday.

Those Santiaguerras are something else. For me the action is in "Ciudad Corazon"

The Monument is much prettier now. But I remember when people could drive their cars to the top and park. On Sundays there would be so many folks up there with their trunks open, blaring music, that it was like a block party.

It was a really good place to talk to chicas back then.
