    Sounds Good!

Not bad! $1500 for 6 days is definitely cheap.

How safe truly are the hotel safes? Are there any reports of people having money taken from the hotel safes? I would think after 1 or 2 reports of that it would scare off everyone from staying there but I am curious.

No problem with the safes for me.

Get her arrested and maybe you can watch the cops beat her.

I spoke to them. They will arrest the chica. If you are at The Palace, John will assist.

The longer you are there the less spent on chicas. I get 3 a day for a 4 day trip but 2 a day for a 7 day trip.

    Peso or Dollar?

Is it suggest to always exchange US dollars or pesos? Or have a mix? Last trip I didnt bother exchanging any dollars as they were easily taken by every place I went to and actually preferred. I got the standard 30-1 rate that it was being exchanged at.

I bring 50 bucks cash with me. Enought to take a taxi to the Hotel. Eat prior to coming to the DR and some Presidentes when I get off the plane. I always use the ATM machine. I seem to get the best rate there.

Just got back from my first trip.

I tried to be neither tight nor loose with money and $100 a day was about right (food/liquor/chica) for me.

I'd take a $100 bill from the safe before going out at night and exchange it at 30-1 with the boys standing on the corner with wads of pesos in their hands.

I have my driver (local) call around as soon as he picks me up at the airport and find the best rate. Sometimes its his cousins place at the gas station, but I have found that he has never steered me wrong.

If you stuck to a $100 per day schedule, you did really good! Great discipline...that's my budget. I keep to it...on some days!

Last trip, 3 chicas a day, a massage, an ice cream sundai. I blew the budget.
