Let me throw this out there with the banks....mainly Banco Popular.

Depending on your home bank in the USA, the ATM selections between checking and savings are reversed. You have to select "Savings" to withdraw from "Checking".

True, Banco Popular will run out of cash but up the street from Latinos/Classicos is a bank called Progresso (I think) and they have money and it is also used less than Banco Popular. Also, it does not seem that Progresso has their account selections reversed.

Yo, that's a great write up for a rookie or a seasoned vet. I've been to BB's and Sosua 5 trips and anyone considering going should be grateful for cats like yourself. I guess I'm too lazy to write such a report. Great job my dude--glad you had a great time and learned so much too.

That's a really good informative travel guide on sosua. It gives the newbie the basics on traveling to sosua. Great job writing it.

Re: Sosua Newbie Advice from a Newbie

This post is old, but ive been out to Sea(Bering Sea) since May, so i never got a chance to post my experience on the DR as a Noobie. When i get a chance..maybe by next week..when we will pull into the docks at Dutch Harbor, but my overall experience of the DR...was basically ok. Nothing stood out as being outstanding. I did share my rookies mistakes with my crew members, in terms of BF's(like paying 3000 for a ST), or setting up a price before doing the deed. I did hook up with a girl..that i screwed multiple times, in all three holes, and only paid like 1500. I even ST the flower girl(who was of age), but she turned out to be a bust..so i recommed, dont waste your time with the flower girl. I was lucky enough to hook up withy one of the waitress behind the bar at that first German club...forgot the name, but its right beside that big ass disco place. Speaking of the disco joint....the best time to go there is around 2300 or later....this is when it gets packed..matter of fact, the best time to go out and about is around 2200...i didnt know this for the first few days...and i was already drunk, by 2000hrs..Jolly roger's is a cool ass place...the Passion club..well, let just say....it could have been better. Hotel's in the Sosua area, are nice..and overall..i felt safe in that area...especially being the cherry boy. I'll post some pics and a full report, when i get hooked up to regular internet. BTW..my next adventure will be in Apr....hitting up Medellin, Columbia. Happy Holidays ISOC!!!!

The post may be old, but still appreciated. I'll take the time to read it a couple times before my trip in March.

I just returned from a one week stay in Sosua at the New Garden and this post couldn't be more accurate. I've visited the club sceen in Sosua several times but never stayed there, this was a unique experience as, I was coached by experienced mongers and learned a great deal. I'm planning my next trip in March and can't fuckin wait!

Hands down this is the best info I have seen period. Everything is right on point and I can't wait to get back to the dr now. Will be there end of march. I used the WSA site there was no new info. I was last there in march 2009 and was overpaying. Not this time it's on!!!

Re: Sosua Newbie Advice from a Newbie

    Very useful info here.
I know this is primarily a DR/Sosua forum/thread, but i was wondering if anyone has opinions of Columbia. I've never been to either place, but am thinking of a trip to one or the other in June/July time frame, unless i decide to go to Philippines (I've made about 10 trips to PI, and LOVE it there, but it's a LONG trip compared to DR/Columbia).
I know it's irresponsible, but I like to go "bareback" in Philippines, and have NEVER had any "problems". How risky is that in DR/Columbia? (Don't beat me up to bad for asking).
I always travel alone, and am content to stay in or near the hotels. Are the clubs (or wherever you meet the girls) close to the hotels?

We cover about 12 countries and we are very heavy into Colombia these days. There are many reports in the paid sections.

I am now planning to go for my 3rd visit in July and will try to do a bit more on this visit. The chicas are hot and I did meet some ladies with tight kitty cats there. Nice tight 18 yeard old chicas that love sex.. one big thing I learned is that u can save yourself the classicos entrance fee and just hang out outside the club in front of the stairs. I met the same hot girls that the guys met inside the club for free. Just hang outside and get to introducing yourself when they walk by. Works like a charm for me.
Oh my god, that is hilarious! Dude you do realize that your entry fee gets you a free drink. I also like hanging outside to see the chicas coming in, but not because I am looking to save money. I like it because you get a better look at them and can grab one before they get inside.

I like this thread, very good info.

My experience is the same in both DR and PI and Thailand, she will ask you if you have a condom. Me personally, I dont want to take that risk. So I would use a condom. Get you some lubricant. The chicas dont mind that.
