Some say it's "ghetto". You and your boys probably won't like it now.

    in order:

sometimes open on the weekends, shut down by the law, shut down by the law, changed owners and names.

Sosua can still be a 24/7 party provided you can find a good place to stay - which isn't always easy because I hear there are some major league douchebags who book multiple hotels and then decide when they get there which one they actually want to stay in, leaving the rest with last minute vacancies that they can't fill...

Are you serious??? That's crazy talk!!

IMO It would take a serious piece of shit to do that.

Next you'll say something insane like they used their membership on here to get around the deposit, then fuck the hotel owner over.

I can't imagine anyone would be that douchey, a guy like that would have to be a serial flake.

If I did something that shitty, I would drop off the face of the forum for a long time. Maybe 8 months or so. That way, nobody would remember how I milked a guy for a bunch of rooms with no deposit.

That would be a Gr-r-reat idea.

Staying away would be the wise move.

Ouch. That one almost nicked my ear.

I do have ONE night (Wednesday) booked in two hotels, next month - my last night booked in Sosua, my first night at FOD.

But it's only one night, and it's Wednesday, so maybe I'm just a minor-league douchebag for it.

I think it's been longer than 8 months, but as usual ISOC never forgets.

Re: 04/2010 - Sosua Newbie Advice from a Newbie

Hey guys... new guy here... I paid and will be reading a bunch of trip reports whenever I can but wanted to get your take on something:

I am going to DR in december for my bachelor party... our group will be around 10 guys... Everything I've read before said Sosua is the party spot in DR but now maybe thats not the case anymore? Any suggestions on where to go in DR for a bachelor party?
