Crimminals are not good people in a bad situation, they're just bad people.

Re: Its Hot In These Streets (A Warning Please Read)

Some simple logic tells me walking around acting like you have tons of money and need personal protection and want to be noticed will probably get you noticed by the wrong people.

In my first few trips I was lucky enough to be around people who gave good advise even though it didnt sink it right away.

In the past few years I definitely noticed some changes in Sosua especially more drugs and crime.

Since then its been time to leave the jewelry at home and not carry any large sums of money. I carry only what I will use for the day and rest is in a bank or safe. If I am to get robbed they get whatever I have in my pocket. I can always go back to the bank in the morning and get more money.

From what little I have heard and read lately Sosuas crime is definitely getting out of control.

Dont try to look so important and having so much money because you will be the prime target. Nobody wants to rob the poor guy who has nothing. Its not worth their trouble.

Don't let this one story throw you...let alone keep you from taking a trip - if only once. Stick to the tried and true.

I don't know when you're going but it seems like there will be a lot of ISOC guys in town for the 4th of July weekend. Stay at the New Garden - eat and drink at the tried and true - Big D's - Rocky's - Lou's - La Loca Vache - and you'll be fine...the key is networking and meeting a few guys from ISOC on that first trip...

...and developing a few contacts of your own just by saying "Hello" and offering a beer (if appropriate)...

...I've been out on the strip solo at 3:00 am - and desolate is an understatement...in some ways not smart on my part - just the circumstances at the time...

...after a session with this chica in my room - she insisted on going back to the club to give her sister some cash - and wants me to come with her...didn't want to but I did...had a great time drinking and dancing yet more...when we stepped out of CLUB X the streets were pitch black...

...only thing on the streets was a pack of stray dogs who all took to sniffing and lapping at the chica's pussy as she only had on daisy duke shorts...yeah they could smell that kitty...

...this past trip in March...spent one night just chillin' and drinkin' with Henry - older Haitian cat who's always out in front of Classicos and a few other Haitian cats he knows - next thing I know "C" is shutdown as is all the other bars - this one chica comes over and asks if I want to fuck her in the ass...seemed like more trouble than it would be worth...but we walk along together - her to her place - me to the Terra Linda...

...point is my first trip - would never have done either; - study the board - develop your own grove - don't over do it on the drinking and you'll be fine GDD...

    ...glad your safe Mr. C.

If you let this put you off you don't deserve to go to the DR.

But you cannot enjoy yourself if you are always looking over your shoulder. If you are the nervous type I would recommend going to Blackbeards or Field of Dreams for a few days until you are ready to go it alone.

I'm with Carolinajack on this one. Sosua can be dicey but the vibe there was never onerous enough that I would hesitate on pulling the pin for a good deal on the airfare.

The problem for me really is that I feel to at ease sometimes and have walked some chicas that asked me at 3 A.M. from my room at Rocky's down that dark street up to the supermeracado to catch a cab because she was nervous of being out alone with both the police and the ladrounes.

So there are times when the newbie is actually less likely to find himself in the wrong place at the wrong time than the vet is due to him being more cautious and the vet coming from the mindset of having done it before and nothing happened and therefore venturing out a little later and a little further then maybe he should be.

Time for me to check myself

i have walked those desolate streets at 3 or 4 or 5 in the morning many times and my big concern has always been the stray dogs. i figured there are alot easier targets than me, but big tee is just a little smaller than the hulk so maybe i am wrong. the only area that i feel is unsafe is the streets leading from the supermarket to romanoff and capairanha. i always take a moto rather than walk down them and i hate motos.

I thought your biggest concern were those trannies that came out the darkness on that ass

I hear about accidents, violence and crime increasing and these criminals don't even deserve being deported to Haiti. Shit strip them naked and leave them on the most remote border area of the country and let the decent local people deal with them.

I have seen local justice in some of the photos posted. They need punishment not a travel agent to relocate them. Let the Gov't kick there ass good and hard.
It is them or us and that goes for anywhere. Time to stop being soft on punishment.

You recommend a group of 4 or better. I would have to agree that would be enough of a presence to discourage the rotten stinking criminals. I still am amazed that the Police aren't stepping in and beating the shit out of these people for fucking with the tourist money.

I remember one time in Puerto Vallarta a beggar asking for a dollar and I told him to fuck off since he was drunk and filthy not a hungry kid. He followed my girlfriend and I a half block asking everyone he past and getting loud.

Finally when he asked my girlfriend at the stoplight again she yelled Get the Fuck Away from me Real Loud and as we walked away a black Dodge Power Wagon Pickup pulled up and I heard the tires squeal. It was near dark and the streets were quieting down. I turned when I heard a radio sound like the squelch of a CB radio.

2 guys in tropical shirts got out (Mexican) and grabbed the guy and pulled him in the alley. I said come on and we turned around and I walked up to the alley and saw one guy pounding this guy into the wall severely fucking him up.

The other guy said to me Its ok we are here to look out for you have a nice night.

I miss Sosua even if it is stupid and dangerous.

Big Daddy George III would be my guess. I always related more to Louis in France like the one Leonardo DiCaprio sp played perhaps Louis the XIV ? that banged all that virgin pussy.

Main Reason Because He Could. Nice to be a Monarch or any kind of ruler in that situation. Image all the kinky ASS Sadam had over there in the sand.

Mike I know that was King George. The joke is that President Bush was another MF who told people what to do in their own country, and he believed if you weren't with him you were against him.

Really, I thought it was Weyland in the early years before he captured that Hess guy in a farmers field in Scotland.

Good Times, I would love to party some night with G Dub now that he is retired. I bet when Laura is out gardening he could be a fun guy.
