    Ocean Dream - Condo Review

This past weekend had the opportunity to stay at WickedWillie's condo in Cabarete. Thanks. Condo was SICK, impeccably decorated, great location and security was excellent.

If you don't know Cabarete, Ocean Dream is on the main (only) road at the west (Sosua) end of town.

The place comes with a pool (shared amongst 6), beach access - 300 yards away and ample parking.

It’s a nice change of pace to return back to the tranquility of a nice beachfront apartment, and leave the chaos in Sosua. Only thing is that you have to have a car and the drive at night is a little arduous. That being said, I will rent this condo in the future.

Full Disclosure: WickedWillie asked that I post a review of his condo on this site to help generate business, I agreed without hesitation as I had a great stay there.

Looks great. How much do they go for for the night? I stayed at Velero beach which willie called "an expensive hotel". . . . lol. . .and at 180 per night he was right.

We didn't get to use the pool at Velero as it rained all weekend so I promised the novia I would take her back. The pool at Velero is small but with a killer view of the ocean.

I would most likely have to give velero a small advantage pool wise but it appears the actual accomodations at willies beat the living crap out of velero! I have willies card and I am sure will be paying a visit one of these days.

I believe that he wants $120/night, but i'd imagine that he'd do an ISOC discount.

His actual prices and website are listed on: http://www.viviun.com/AD-38699

you can also contact him at grahamcabarete@gmail.com

BTW- forgot to mention that the condo is 2br/2bath. There was a 3rd bed in the second bedroom, so I'd imagine that it'd sleep 3 comfortably, and have individual space.

Great news. I had always heard that Ocean Dream was very much NOT chica-friendly. It's nice to know otherwise, as I've always liked that complex.

It was funny, as I drove a new chick back each night, the security actually started giving me a thumbs up/ nodding.

The one night that I came home alone, they wanted to do a thorough search of the car as they thought I might have one on the floor or in the trunk.

Security was very cool. NO PROBLEMS, they actually stated that I'd been a great guest. It probably didn't hurt that I'd always hook them up with some dulces (candy) and I'd actually talk with them for substantial periods of time.

Looks like another great option for those of us that like it a bit more tranquilo.

Graham is a cool guy. Easy to hang out with, and would make a great wingman.

He's a classy guy, and his apartment reflects it.

I'm not a Cabarete guy myself, but I could see staying there a night or two..

Nice. I tried to reserve another condo in Cabarete but they were asking for the full amount + deposit transferred to the owner's bank account just to reserve it. Way too much "upfront" money for a reservation. The deposit alone should've been enough.

Thats a real good way to deter visitors. Most owners, including me, would take a small deposit with balance paid on arrival.
