Avianca for the extra 100 ain't so bad.

Nice seats, tv screen in seat, usb port, not to mention Colombian stewardesses um hum. I think they even have 110v plugs under the seat.

I agree. I would definitely pay the extra 100 (direct too), but right now the price difference is too great.

I don't have cell phone service where I live let alone a Seven 11.

It is 3.5 hrs one way to airport for me.

The Avianca-Jet Blue option would be nice.

Of course it's selective. But i won't even get into that. Still not worth it time wise just to save $50. Hell, i stopped taking the train to JFK because it took 2 hours at that time of morning. #5 to E train to air train. Now i park locally at JFK. It's worth the extra $50 to come out and just get in my car.

You're also saving the $150+ difference in flight if you went on Spirit at LGA.

That $380 is not a regular price.. Typical flights are in the 430+ range. Check the current prices..

Pero your $312 is not a regular price either. It's a special!

COME ON HIOCTANE, I GAVE YOU HUGE PRAISE WHEN YOU ORIGINALLY POSTED THE INFO. ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE NOT WORKING FOR SPIRIT?? BECAUSE IF SO, YOU NEED TO PAY ADVERTISERS FEES.

It practically is... their $99 each way for Medellin (before taxes) is a regular price. The $50 coupon is on the site 2-3x a week. So it's real easy to get that price. Meanwhile $380 comes by once every 3-4 months and only for a week.

I just love a good deal!

    Re: Spirit Airlines BIG SALES.

i booked today... for me and my daughters flights for her birthday..

took advantage of the 50off coupon they had this weekend.

after the coupon.. the fare was 35 bucks.. TOTAL for BOTH tickets..

yeah... 17.50 each. round trip. fll to sti.

of course.... 160 bucks in taxes for the dr, turned those 17 dollar tickets into 177.50 each.

i'll still have to buy our dtw-fll tickets next week or the week after. (i dont have a silver spoon, so i spread out my purchases) but those will only be 145 or cheaper, depending on what coupon is available when im ready to grab those.

puts me at 320 round trip dtw-sti... cant beat it. no other airline even comes close.

since im a 9 dollar fare club member, baggage, carry on, and seats are also cheaper..

so, even after next week, when i add in a bag, and put us in the big front seat for each leg of the trip..and pay my personal taxi for transporting back and forth from sosua to sti, it STILL comes out to OVER 500 cheaper than the best price i could find from any other airline, going into pop... 500 goes a long way.. i mean hell, that pays for our condo, and several meals.

Just got a call from Bcee, he is delayed in Florida. The plane has AC trouple so they need to switch things around. So far, looking like an hour delay, maybe.

    Re: Spirit Airlines BIG SALES.

A Ha the plot thickens for the purchasing of Spirit seats! Nap don't you have enough miles yet?My trip in Sept. is I think $108 RT.Just paying taxes and using 5000 miles.I say I think because I paid for it a month and a half ago and I'm to lazy to find the statement but it wasn't but a few dollars over a hundred. With the taxi to and from the bus station and the bus tickets I'm looking at about $136RT and I'm in and out of Sosua.Oops forgot about the $20 bag fee so it will be about $176 RT.Fuck that I guess I'll pay $400 for Delta.(you gotta be shitting me) Probably gonna do Medellin the 1st week of Oct.That RT ticket should cost me all of a $100.Oops forgot the bag again so I'm up to $140.Oh shit fuck that I guess I'll take Avianca or Copa for $380.(you gotta be shitting me)Oh the prices I have to pay to monger these days!!ha ha ha keep jumping on those high price tickets guys....leaves better choice of seats for me.
