Hello everyone!! It's 3somefan. I decided to come back to the site to see if I could give something of value back to those guys that helped me out. A lot has changed for me. I decided to pick up and move to Colombia. I am currently living with my novia in Puerto Tejada, which is about 20 minutes from Cali. I will be moving soon to Cali though and will be able to answer questions from anyone needing intel. I am going to go by this handle for now until an admin fixes the original one. I will be happy to help in any way I can now that I am living here. I won't go into too much of my personal business like in times past. I am not here to measure dicks or anything like that. I will be on the site from time to time, so you can PM me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

That is what I did and so far, I am loving it. As far as learning the language goes... it is progressing! I have a great teacher in my novia who speaks 3 languages and being immersed in the culture is helping a lot.

In all seriousness though, how are you teaching English to Colombians if you don't speak Spanish? Do they already know "basic" English and you don't need to know Spanish for them to understand? How does it work?

Yes, the students have an intermediate to advanced level of English. This is a very good school here in Cali with 3 locations. I am not allowed to speak in any other language than English at anytime with the students! This obviously teaches them very quickly. The school utilizes the communicative methodology, which is great because I am a communicator. They provide the material, and I provide the creativity. A very nice gig.

Btw...I didn't need any certification and they do ALL of the work visa process for me.

Thanks! Like I said, I am not here to measure dicks.. just thought I could genuinely help anyone out that needs information on Cali.

Based on 18 days here already, I wanted to make some observations...

1) I have a car right now (little Chevy Sprint). The drivers here may be worse then Dominican drivers. I already had one accident. I was making a left hand turn on the street where we live and a stupid moto tries to pass me on the side I was turning. Not really any damage to the car. He wasn't hurt because he bailed right away. The moto had about $15,000 COP worth of damage. My novia's family came right to the scene and handled it for me. Learning opportunity for me and now I am even more observant before I commit to doing anything driving related. A few near misses in Cali, but overall I am adapting to the way everyone drives. Yesterday the novia said she was surprised how quickly I was becoming a Colombian driver!!

2) The selection of women here blows my mind!! Jimmy and others were right, Colombian women are phenomenal. You can find anything you like in Cali... short or tall, spinners or thick, dark or light skin, fake tits or ass. Walking around the different malls, I really have to be careful that the novia doesn't see me staring at these other beautiful women.
We went to Popayan for a day last week, the women there were all primarily light-skinned, long black hair, brown eyes and gorgeous.
So far I have only seen a few street walkers. There aren't much in the way of whores around this town we are living in. It is pretty small. I talked to the novia's brother and he said they can be found, but most have diseases and hygiene is terrible.
