I think they'r doin the same that they did in Cancun mexico, move all the hookers away from the defined tourist zone, that way families will return, since wont be any nasty stuff goin on.

Putas are like lottery tickets, sometimes you get a winner sometimes you get a loser.
In cancun hookers used to be all over now they are confined to Zona 21, and if they get busted near the hotels they get double jail time and higher fines.
I tend to agree, they must be using some other MODEL. Dominicans are not smart enough to think of this shit on their own. This is why most successful businesses, incl hotels, restaurants etc are owned by foreigners & foreign corporations . Im curious if they literally have Maps and drawings of some kind of a PLAN, and who else has gotten a Peek at it.
Either they are planning on moving them up the strip or maybe Los Charamicos will be the Dominican Zone 21
Peter may not be the only one who had inside info...The owner of the property where the new place is located has been in the biz a long time too, he just does not advertise on the internet, much. Better to own the property and let others take the risk with new businesses.
When you can think of yesterday without regret and tomorrow without fear, you are near contentment.
Your opinions are not my problem...
If Hotel Colibri doesnt go all out with Chicas on site (like a mini BB'
s) then they are complete idiots.
FWIW, I hear that the new female mayor of Sosua promised during the campaign to clean up Sosua. I also hear the police have been arresting 40-50 girls a night in Sosua, keeping them overnight and NOT taking money from them. Same, though lower numbers, in Cabarete. Both Haitians and Dominicanas. Last night in Cabarete it was very slow, lots of cops, rumors that the Vice President of the DR was staying in Cabarete at Valero.
Here I go with the common sense thing again....When are politicians going to learn that people do not like to spend money when things are uncertain. They are doing far more harm to the local economy by keeping potential tourists guessing. But I guess its DR and probably no thought has gone into their actions other than it sounds like a good idea, until your tax receipts start dropping, which in turn will cause them to panic and raise taxes...thus a vicious cycle.
DR JONES,
That is interesting.
Maybe President Leonel is Coming to Sosua to pay a Social Visit to the new Mayor ?
Last time he was there, Didnt they PAVE EVERY SINGLE ROAD his motorcade used ?? And paving the road took a lot more effort than this.
It may be nothing more than that.
There was a crackdown back in 1998. It seemed more like a lockdown. Daytime, the only chicas on the beach were the ones braiding hair, and they needed some kind of permit.
Nightime the strip was dead.
Gentlemen,
What does this crackdown mean to those of us who are traveling down to the DR for the first time to vacation in Sosua, Carbarette and Puerto Plate? Are we going to miss out on the chicas?
Kaiju
no, you will be fine, especially if it is your first trip. i just wouldn't set up the expectations too high!
I have noticed a lot more cute chicas photos from Passion in the past 2 weeks. There are several choices, bodies, colors to choose from. At least that is a good sign for us visiting in the near future. I am still going to do what i do on the strip and at classicos, but i will be visiting Passion this trip for sure.
Just go and enjoy, dont let this stop you.
Went to Caribbean Men's Paradise a few times..
they are doing a hard marketing push for business..i was getting cards handed to me on the street, at the beach, at the toilet in classicos, at the casino, eating street meat, at the bank..you name it..crazy..
the place looked relatively nice..tons of chicas...menu similar to passions only more creative
