    Parking in Sosua

    Greetings,
I've never been to the Dominican Republic before. I'm going down there fairly soon. For me, half the fun is getting organized for the trip. I'd like to know about parking if possible. Do the pubs/sex clubs have their own parking areas?
I want to check out Passions and other places as such and need to know where to park. Actually, what's it like on the streets of Puerto Plata, Sosua and Cabarete in general? Plenty of parking or is it real tight? Thanks for your help.

Passions has a nice parking lot with a gate that the guy opens for you so guys wives don't see their cars. Parking is no different than anywhere else, I always find a place within a half block at most and usually less. POP the same. Cabarete is busier on the main highway to park and you have to look harder but usually not a long walk

There are a disportionate number of cars to the amount of parking avaliable on the North Coast. Parking is easy, but mostly on the street, other than Passions.

Important note: Do not leave ANYTHING in view inside your car when you park it - especally overnight. Not a hat, a 5 peso coin, an empty pack of smokes, garbage, anything. I have never had a problem parking my SUV in Sosua, Caberete, Puerto Plata, Costambar, or Santiago, but I have never left anything in plain site. If they see anything that might be of value they will break your window and check to see what it is. If you leave nothing in view they will not bother.

I agree, there is also a nice parking area at the entrance to the beach where you pay the guy a few coins to park. It beats walking down that big hill below the casino past all those shops bugging you to buy shit and of course most importantly going up that hill after a tiring time at the beach with a full belly.
