Hotel Palacio

Can anyone tell me how close this hotel is to the main strip in where most of the clubs are primarily located? I don't know what that area is officially called (if someone could tell me what that area is called that would be great), but one of the streets in that area is called the Malecon. The area I'm talking about is described in the thread:

The Palacio is located 1/2 block away from EL Conde in the Colonial zone.

i stayed there a couple of years ago, it was about a 15 minute walk to the Jaragua area
