    Day Tours

There is very little chatter in the National Attractions Forum. Does anyone do any day tours while in DR. It seems there is a lot to do as a diversion during the day from the mongering scene.

Anyone have first hand knowledge of good day trips? Particulary in the Cabarete Sosua area.

    Horseback riding, or maybe golf.

Fun City, that is a new one I haven't heard of. Where is it located? Can it be reached by public transportation or a cab?

I have a few years on my body so I don't have the stamina like the younger guys who can bang it 20 hours a day. I need to get some rest in between so that is why I do the day trips plus I like to see different areas of any place I visit.

if you take the main highway road from Sosua to POP/Santiago it will be on the right... (right on the main highway) no more turns after you turn into the parking lot

I think it costs around $40 (US) to get into Fun City.

So is Fun City like an all day adventure park? For $40 US I know it is more than just the go carts around a track. Is this a place that if I met a chica I clicked with we could hang out all day there? Afterwards take her to the Hotel do the do and send her on her merry way. Yeah, than start the search for a new one for another day trip and night.

Its not big enough for an all day stay. One or two hours. I was going to ride the go-carts with the chicas but they had acouple busloads of schoolkids there on Friday, so we left without waiting(and me having to spend the $) The carts were the only thing I saw that interested me. The rest seemed to be real kids stuff.

Correction: Fun City is $15.00 (adults) and $10.00 (children). My bad.

What the fuck are you smoking... Its free to go into Fun City... Its about 200 pesos to ride the Go Carts all day.... There are really just 3 go cart tracks and a snack bar in there... nothing much else to do... but if its a slow day at the park you can stay on the go carts and ride them for a while... Pay the guy that works there a few pesos and he will take the pin out of the gas pedal and you can go faster!
