For the first time I will be traveling down to EWR next week and staying at a park and fly place prior to my trip. I might make it a habit. It looks like I can save anywhere from 200-250 dollars per flight, even with the overnight stay, and I'll get home a few hours earlier rather than sit in EWR for 4-4 1/2 hours before departing to my final destination.

on Continental. May have to shop around a little on dates but got this price through CO's site, not just through an aggregator.
Definitely available for travel 1/26 & 1/27 for 7 night stays.
Not a huge savings, but still, I'm sure everyone could find a few things to do with an extra $70 down there...
POP and SDQ....

I'm back... Heading Back To Green #TurnUpTime
Ryatt when I was going to book 2-3 weeks ago it was $370 RT and I almost pulled the trigger and said wait I have this voucher lets see if Jet Blue is going to have a sell. JB always raises there prices then 2 days before (from my own observations and successes in getting my tickets last minute) drops them for the day and brings them back up again. So when I saw the price down to $332.22 (2) Days ago I almost passed out and had to pull the trigger. Prices have never been this low since I have been traveling to the DR. The first flight I ever paid for was $420 RT and that was 2+ years ago.
I am up North Feb 3-5 and down South 5-8. When are you there?
I'm down Feb. 4-8, I had to make this a short trip being that I just got back a few days ago (trip report coming soon..The shit is one big haze). Prices used to b @ the $330 mark when I started going in 05, so this 450-500 is sticker shock. This NYE trip cost a GRIP just getting there one way, lol.
Ive noticed with Jetblue the price will fluctuate a lot from day to day. especially as the day of the flight gets closer. Also noticed Monday seems to be a more expensive day to book a lot of the time. Many flights to Santiago are now 99$ one way in February. I'm not going to pass it up even if i just go for the weekend.
just for future reference (not definitive, but generally)...
the most expensive days to fly are monday and friday
the least expensive are usually tuesday-thursday & saturday
the most expensive time to buy tickets is friday through sunday
the cheapest time to buy tickets is usually monday night through tuesday (a lot of travel sites suggest mid-tuesday afternoon) because most airlines publish sale fares late monday night to early tuesday.
March(BIRTHDAY) EWR-POP CO non-stop at $367 is looking very good
Yep, got $332 JFK to SDQ for a February trip as well. Just had to wait out those few days of $500. I've found that Tuesdays seem to be the best.

Lowest price from Denver - POP is over $600 right now.
I look everyday for a sale ...
Many travel sites and airlines insert a cookie into your computer to let them know if you were recently on their site. If you log back in later that day or the next, the price of the ticket magically goes up $20 to $60 to get you motivated to book right away and give them a bit more profit. I would clear my cookies from the browser if you are checking prices of tickets often just to see if that might make a difference.
