You guys who normally fly out of JFK??
Where do you usually park?

Ain't you travelled enough for awhile. You should take a break and let the rest of us have our chance.lol
Seriously though, I heard that the off-airport lots are the least expensive option and they have shuttles to the terminals. Personally I take pubic trans from or stay at a friends nearby when I travel from JFK.
Yes, I'm aware of the change in the fall schedule but I don't recall there ever being this limited number of available flights during this time period.
Don't ever see myself flying in to SDQ and trekking up to POP. As it is I have to drive 3 hours down to EWR/JFK. I have no interest in tacking on a 3 1/2 hour ride after arriving at SDQ.
As I said earlier, no problem. I'll probably start switching to JB on a regular basis.
Thanks.
I know there is a lot on the Conduit between 150th street and Rockaway Blvd. They provide shuttle service. Also if you search for airport parking for Kennedy airport I'm sure you'll find a few others.
To me, if the difference in distance to JFK and Newark is minimal I would take Jet Blue. Not only is there more room but their flights seem to be cheaper as well more often than not. Hands down I like them over Continental.

You guys in NY are lucky. So many flight options to the Dominican Republic. No need to complain. The rest of us have it tough connecting and paying higher prices.
Agree with that so many trains in NYC. From the 34th street you could take the LIRR to the Airtrain and get to JFK in probably about an hour. Not sure about EWR but I hear there is a train that does the same thing going to EWR, probably the Path train.
Nice to have options
I used to pay 800-900 roundtrip EWR-POP, first class. Then the price went to 1300-1400. Fucking ridiculous. You can travel to the other side of the world (coach) for that price.
You can take New Jersey transit from 34th street and 8th ave directly to Newark airport. Only takes 20 minutes.

before Jetblue I flew Continental a few times. Jersey transit from Penn and then a seperate airtrain I believe, wasnt too bad and was definitely better than driving. The one time i drove i had a dent and a broken window in the long term parking lot. I ended up fixing it myself. If your leaving from Manhattan its about the same travel time on the train.
Airtrain is a good deal. I fly my first CO flight to DR in October and then I have another CO flight in November.
On a side note I just have to share this after reading the highlighted section.
I walk through a parking lot everyday on my way to work and I remember this one time I seen a lady in a jeep just scrape her car on this other parked car...all you could hear was the scratching sound as she rubbed her car against the other car and completely fucked it up. All because she couldnt park...the bitch then left that spot and went to another. I could only imagine the owner of that car was as pissed as john travolta in pulp fiction.
Thanks for the info on the train swiggy.
I've got 2 questions:
a) Quality of experience with CO flights EWR-POP
b) Experience with connecting turboprop flights to EWR (Colgan Air) - this one leaves me with some doubts.
Thank you

EWR to POP on CO is a great run in my opinion. I've done that flight many times over the last 6 years. Never used anything else for the DR except CO to Santiago once in awhile. Great service. You get into pop at a decent time - 1pm. You get back to NY at a decent time - 5 or 6pm.
