Good for you. Just do not start preaching the inner workings of Bill W. or Dr. Bob. They tell you no pussy for 1 year. I got over 1,015 1 day sober chips from AA. Followed by 1,015 nights of drinking.

No preaching from this cat! It's actually a long story, alot of shit going on over here the past a couple of months. I just tried not to look for a way not to face everything head on. I wanted to be sober for myself to get past everything.

And what do you know??? Things are getting brighter.

I have given it up totally. Just wanted a clear head dealing with the drama.

Hey now...I gotta take it easy a bit. I've had 3 kidney stones since May. I'm sure mostly stress was the cause, but I don't think the occasional bing drinking helped either.

Jayman doesn't binge (he is always drinking) so his liver/kidneys are use to it. They probably have problems when non-alcoholic drinks are introduced to his body!

Ya right, the judge makes you piss in a cup every week and go to 3 AA meetings after the DUI. HR in work has your # and is watching. Why else would a person who lives on a farm in Minn. stop drinking. You need something to make the sheep look good.

AA runs on the 12 steps originally taken partially from the bible. The 4th step is the big one. It, like the bible says life is ruled by sex, resentment and fear. For the most part if you are married and shit is still good why go to AA unless the judge says so. But most people getting sober live by the rule that behind every skirt there is a slip. Many dudes in AA fall for another wanna be sober chick in AA and with in 2 weeks they are both out getting drunk. Go out with a chick that drinks and she will convince you that you can have a few. Go with a chich that does not drink and she will bore you to death so you drink. Bottom line is i know all this shit because the DOC gives 2½ days good time a month for going to AA meetings in the local county hotel.

What happens if you are an agnostic or an atheist? Do they kick you out of AA?

I just looked up the 12 steps, most of them are (if you are agnostic or atheist) about believing in a fictional character that isn't real nor can be proven to exist, hmm sounds like a problem worse then alcoholism to be believing in imaginary creature(s):

1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol--that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5. Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

GUYS! I haven't been to one AA meeting...nor has a judge ordered me too. All I got was Adminstrative Probation, which means I technically don't even have a Probation Officer! All I had to do was to do a chemical evaluation, pay my fines and have no same or similars in a year...I got off pretty easy. The only place it REALLY hurt me was in the wallet, with fines, insurance premium, and lost wages. Believe me I learned my lesson. It's all good. I just want to get back to mongering asap!!

After 5 DUI's, my solution was to simply stop drinking in the states. But, I sure as hell make up for it when I hit the DR! LOL.
