    Trip to B.B.'s and Sosua

I'm planning my 2nd trip to the D.R., April 15-23. This time I want to kick it off with 3-4 nights at B.B.'s, then head over to Sosua for the remaining 4-5 nights.

I've been looking into flights into POP and they're more expensive than I thought they'd be ranging from $850-$1,400.

Should I fly into POP? Is there another airport closer to B.B.'s.

When I was in Sosua I stayed at the NG. Not sure I'm going to stay there this time. Any suggestions for a good chica friendly hotel? Those of you who have stayed at NG recently how was the service?

Many of us starting to look at flying into Santiago (STI).
Depending on where you're coming from, the savings could be worth the extra travel.

The prices into POP arecway too high now for April.. I was checking on the prices as many gave been and they were high before at 492 and now 600-800 ever more out of range. I want to book for April myself and may also have to hit Santiago airport and then head to sosua. A lot of guys are traveling in April.. Should be fun if we can afford the airfare.

Flight prices to POP have gone up, but I think the real problem is your dates.
You have picked Spring Break Week. I think you will find it hard to go anywhere for less than $800.

Yeah, I may have to just bit the bullet. Spring Break is my time off, so I don't really have a choice with the dates. I'm going to price Santiago and see if there's a big difference. I found some flights to Rio for the same dates that are actually cheaper.

jd426- WHAT'S UP!? I want to stay at Black Beard's April 15-17 or 18. Then I'll be in Sosua up to April 23. I'm still trying to figure out where in Sosua I'm going to stay. I'd say NG, but since Wilfried is no longer there I'm not sure. Tierra Linda perhaps? How about you? What's going on in Cabarete? Should I stay a night or two there?

Yes they are. They just don't allow chicas running around unescorted like they do at the NG.

Re: Trip to B.B.'s and Sosua

I stay at Sea Breeze, my last two times down there. Guys on here don't seem to like it, but I enjoy it and never had a problem there yet. I have find the staff friendly and helpful, close to everything, right down the block from New Garden, across the from the ball field. The rooms are basic, but good and clean only complaint would be the safes there, as they are really only those fire boxes, but I figured out a work around that seems to do the job. It's girl friendly and security seem to be good, I throw the guy some money here and there during the course of my stay and he takes and checks the girls ID's until the morning or when I leave and escort them out.

Chica friendly, but only one at a time. No "happy hours" unless you wait until the restaurant and office closes then you can bribe the guards.

No, sorry. The new Costambar International (mainly funded by Barba Negra) was due to have opened on Feb 1st, but looking at last week's picture it seems there is still a bit more work to be done on the runway:

Re: Trip to B.B.'s and Sosua

I am in Florida, and my round trip ticket is $210 with carryon luggage included. This is to Santo Domingo, which is not near Sosua or BB's which is where I will be staying, but several hundred dollars cheaper then flying into POP, and better flight time then into STI. I will be renting a car, and splitting it 3 ways and driving to the north part of the island

Spirit Air, and I am a member, is $560 to STI and I think $700 from Ohare airport. Note the STI arrives at 3am. In both cases you will probably need to rent a car.

Many people are not big fans of Spiritair, but I am going for the destination, and not the flight. I don't care about amenities or room, as long as it is the cheapest flight, and gets me there in one piece.
