    Cabanas

They are cheap hotel rentals for short stays located thru out the country. 8)

You can rent them for an hour or a night. They are just places to bang away.

TO LEAVE ALL THE BS BEHIND, A CABANA IS THE SPOT THAT YOU TAKE THE CHICA TO GET
YOUR GROOVE ON. ITS ABOUT 20 AMERICAN DOLLARS OR THE EQUIVALENT IN PACOS. THEY
ARE 9 TIMES OUT OF 10 LUXURIOUS. (SPIRAL STEPS, JAC TUB, THE WORKS, PLUS A ROOM
SERVICE VAT TO GET FOOD OR DRINKS WITHOUT SEEING A SOUL, JUST TAKE YOUR FOOD AND
PUT THE MONEY IN THE VAT.) WITH MY EXPERIENCE WITH MY BOYS THIS PAST WEEK,
ALWAYS KNOW WHERE YOUR PEEPS ARE AT. THESE PLACES DO NOT REQUIRE A CHECK IN
PROCESS OR ANYTHING, JUST ASK THE TAXI TO TAKE YOU TO A CABANA AND THEY WILL
KNOW WHAT TO DO.) CAUTION!!!! DO NOT GIVE THE CABBIE THE MONEY, CAUSE HE IS
OUT. UNLESS YOU KNOW HIM LIKE THAT WHICH I DOUBT, THE PEOPLE WHO PUT THE FOOD IN
THE VAT WILL CALL YOU ASKING FOR THE MONEY. ITS A CABBIE SCAM THAT GOT ME AND MY
    BOYS LAST SAT.

    Cabañas,
you would call it motel, "mostly" very nice Motels were you take
your company and have a nice night. You'll have your own garage in
front of your Room, just drive in, close the door and get into the
    room.
There are different kind of "rooms" normally differed
as "Presidencial", "Executive" and "Sencilla" which you could
    translate to 5*, 4*, 3*.
The best Cabañas are to find in Santiago and San Francisco de
Macoris. Haven't seen a really nice Cabaña in Sosua/Cabarete Area.
In Puerto Plata you should go to "Sensacion" (will be there most
probabaly tonight) or "Burbujas de Amor(ex Nueva York)".
Charges are from about 200 Pesos ( 8 US$) for a Standard Cabaña (de
    paso = 4 hrs) to about 500 Pesos (20 US$) for a 5 Star (amanecer =
until the next day...meens you have to be out before 5p.m next day)

Most Cabañas have 1 or 2 TV's with one or more XXX Chanels, Room
Service thru a "Pass thru" and some do offer Food.

If you're in Santiago try Helios, the new Part is Sensational,
havent seen a private garden at a Cabaña anywhere else, fun it
    is!!!!!

    So...enjoy

Cabanas of my choice in Santiago, DR

Horus (920 pesos for all night -out by 11am next day)
-each cabana/room has a different theme.
-the executive which is a standard room WITH jacuzzi costs 2,100 Pesos

    Eclipse (same price range)
-mirrors on the ceiling, walls, everywhere.
-perfect to take a whore to or to treat one like one

    for the newbies

I get the cabana idea, I see it in MX, but for others who are new to DR it may need a bit of 'splainin'. Dr. Alias was a difficult read, so maybe if others could chip in about cabanas around DR.... I would think that most mongers here would taxi to one, so how does that monger avoid the inevitable middleman charges? if possible..

    locale specific

Also, Could we make it a practice to include where we are referring to in DR? My interests are Boca Chica and Santo Domingo, so I would like to be able to look at a post about cabanas and get to the BC/SD . MR. NYC did just that and that is very helpful for all, IMHO.

My friend, things will be laid out so everyone will have a map in their heads even before they ever get there. I will fill in the blanks but I bet there are at least 10,000 blanks

my review on cabanas in cabrete and near airport

i hit the cabana past the POP airport,"right across the street from the carwash".towards PP. pulled into the "garage" was like visiting your grandparents in the suburbs.closed the door n walked into a very clean and nice room with couch and bedroom adjoining, fan, muzic thru the speakphone and tv.Phone rings n 5 MINUTES LATER A KNOCK on the revolving door where money is put in.like the late night bodegas in bed sty.was funny to me.
" APRIL 2004" last time out i hit outside of cabrete and was very similiar.nice, clean and cheap.was 300 pesos for 4 hours.THE ONLY PROBLEM....
if u tak a taxi, set up pickup as the cell phone recpt. was bad and couldnt get a ride back..i asked the guards to keep a eye out for me FOR A RIDE BACK , I lucked out when another party had a taxi drop them off, we drove back to el tipico and myself to SOSUA..i WOULD like to find a cabana with a jacuzzi in sosua/caberete region.

i dunno which cabana i was at in POP this weekend or if there are plenty of them or what but it was the same as discussed before... you drive into the garage, close the garage door, walk in the room there was a bed TV, 3 knobs on the wall , one for lights, one for Music, and i think the other was for TV... 1280 pesos and you have to leave by 9:30am... i think that was giving like 10-12 hours ... bed, TV, Music, Bathroom, very clean and cold A/C...

    Oh...

These cabanas are the next best thing to paying for a 4 or 5 star hotel at a fraction of the price.

The best ones I have been to are in Santiago. Plenty of them to be found and close to the action.
