The return flight from Brazil is what scares me. I am sure I would be seriously depressed and miserable and the thought of going back would just consume my life. I am attached so I can't deal with such an addiction.

That's why:
1) I only stay solely in Sosua for a 3-4 day trip (even then I'll go to POP and Cabarete)
2) If I stay in the DR for a week, I'm all over doing road trips
3) I travel to many other countries. It's a big world out there!
It's possible, if you stay in your hotel and mess around with your laptop all day. YOUR TIME IN SOSUA IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT!
Not a fucking chance.
If you have that much time off and you're bored, you're not using that time very well.
I don't know what your interests in life are, but with 2-3 months off at a time, one can do a lot.
Go see the pyramids in Egypt.
Go see the Shaolin monks in China.
Go run with the bulls in Spain.
DO SOMETHING!!!!
43 is still young. You have plenty of time to do a lot of shit and you won't feel so bored.

Just to get back on topic, from all the Jimmy flaming, Rubicon, I have gone to Sosua at least a dozen times since January 2005. I find it is getting boring in the sense that You end up seeing a lot of the same faces and there have been a few trips where not too many new chicas were around.
It can be a habit to going to Sosua since it is rellatively easy to get to and easy to find your way around. But now I am looking at other possibilities. I went to Cuba in March and will go again next month. I am also going to Colombia this year.
A lot of guys that don't understand, really haven't gone to Sosua with the same frequency. Bored probably isn't the right word, but definately, looking for a change of scenery. In more ways than one.
sosua boredom is the kind of boredom i'm lookin for.............
Kevy scolded me so now i'm on time out.
I'll respond via PM and leave the thread to its original point.
Sosua, boring?
Man, I was in Sosua this weekend with the better half and one of her friends.
We stayed at the Garden Hotel (HEAR THAT, JIMMY?) lol
We went to Classicos on Friday and Saturday nights. I simply could not believe how many girls were in that place! I would guess there were at least 100 girls, if not more, and probably about 20-30 guys.
Tough getting bored in that environment...
