    Re: Sosua Boredom?

The return flight from Brazil is what scares me. I am sure I would be seriously depressed and miserable and the thought of going back would just consume my life. I am attached so I can't deal with such an addiction.

16 hours to get to a place doesn't bother me because I have off as much time as I want. Going to work 40 hours a week bothers me more.

I am 43 years old and have been living here my entire life. I don't work 6 days a week and have had off 2-3 month blocks of time various periods of my life. Maybe in 20 years you will feel the same.

    That's why:

    1) I only stay solely in Sosua for a 3-4 day trip (even then I'll go to POP and Cabarete)
    2) If I stay in the DR for a week, I'm all over doing road trips
    3) I travel to many other countries. It's a big world out there!

It's possible, if you stay in your hotel and mess around with your laptop all day. YOUR TIME IN SOSUA IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT!

    Not a fucking chance.

If you have that much time off and you're bored, you're not using that time very well.

I don't know what your interests in life are, but with 2-3 months off at a time, one can do a lot.

Go see the pyramids in Egypt.

Go see the Shaolin monks in China.

Go run with the bulls in Spain.

    DO SOMETHING!!!!

43 is still young. You have plenty of time to do a lot of shit and you won't feel so bored.

    Re: Sosua Boredom?

Just to get back on topic, from all the Jimmy flaming, Rubicon, I have gone to Sosua at least a dozen times since January 2005. I find it is getting boring in the sense that You end up seeing a lot of the same faces and there have been a few trips where not too many new chicas were around.

It can be a habit to going to Sosua since it is rellatively easy to get to and easy to find your way around. But now I am looking at other possibilities. I went to Cuba in March and will go again next month. I am also going to Colombia this year.

A lot of guys that don't understand, really haven't gone to Sosua with the same frequency. Bored probably isn't the right word, but definately, looking for a change of scenery. In more ways than one.

I don't think i was flaming Jimmy at all, i just answered his question.

As for the whole Jimmy/Magnum thing ..... I don't know their relationship and if they're best buds just needling each other, but it might be getting a bit much.

Call it whatever you like, but it has definately gone off topic. As for Jimmy and Magnum, I don't want to know.

the one where 98.7 of the chicas in town are whores? Where NOT having your dick grabbed while sitting at a bar is WAY more of a challenge than "getting pussy"?

Exactly what challenges are there in getting Toto in Sosua? Is it that since the Palace closed. . . .mongers have to actually leave the hotel sometimes to get laid?

What next. . . . .the challenge of getting laid at Black Beards? ;-)
    Sosua, boring?
Man, I was in Sosua this weekend with the better half and one of her friends.
We stayed at the Garden Hotel (HEAR THAT, JIMMY?) lol
We went to Classicos on Friday and Saturday nights. I simply could not believe how many girls were in that place! I would guess there were at least 100 girls, if not more, and probably about 20-30 guys.
Tough getting bored in that environment...
