Return Sosua to LAX

Guys some advice if you might be able to help me.

Am contemplating trip to Sosua Sep 15 to 20 - I will travel from Australia to Las Vegas Sep 13 for a trade show. Only been to Sosua once before for 4 days in 2006.

I have a flight LAX-MEL departing 22:00(10pm) on Sep 20 - I am trying to find a flight that will get me out of Sosua on Sep 20 and into LA in time to connect but cannot for the life of me find anything suitable.

Any suggestions guys?

closest one is Santiago code STI....its a little over 2 hours away on public transportation

You'll never make POP to LAX same day and make your flight. You'll need to fly out the day before or leave from SDQ or STI.

Yes thought that might be the case - STI-LAX dep 08:30 - early start from Sosua on 20th huh?

You could also look for LA to Miami round trip - there are lots of those flights. From Miami there are lots of options into the DR.

Plan is Las Vegas - Miami - Puerto Plata then Puerto Plata / Santiago - Miami - Los Angeles.

As I said I have flight out of LAX back to OZ at 10pm on Tue Sep 20 - was hoping I could fly out of POP on morn 20th and still connect - but looks like I will be heading out of STI instead.
