In Boca Chica, I went to a restaurant called "Resturante Dapathan International".

It is an outdoor restaurant.

The staff are very kind. The Presidente I ordered was very nice and cold, and the food was well-prepared within 10 minutes.

The food was pretty good and the portion is a lot (especially the French Fries).

Pros
1. Fast and excellent service
2. Great food
3. Price for a steak with french fries and salad (and one Presidente) was 520 pesos. So the price is not bad.

Cons
1. It is an outdoor restaurant. So it can be a bit hot.

I ate just about every dinner at this place, I loved it. I wonder if they raise the price of pizza durung high season, would explain the covered prices. The pizza is pretty good at this place and I enjoyed all the pasta dishes. Ajax posted the breakfast is good there but I never indulged. Hey Cheeno did you go to Isla Bonita behind this place?

Dapathan International is the former Hexenkeshel!
They still operate in Cabarete.

I agree, great food, The Pizza is real good as are any of the entres and very reasonably priced. They even have a great hamburger for under 100 Pesos.

I eat most of my meals here while in B.C. as well.

When is your next trip?

I currently have no plans to return to the DR, I have two Colombia trips booked then after that hopefully the Phils. If I do visit in 2007 it will be BC/SDQ, not Sosua.
