new posts and news articles..

is there a way, possibly through my account settings to not see all the news articles?

i typically read the board, via the "new posts" links. and i read/comment on whatever is current today or yesterday.

but now, with the upgrade, the new forum posts are thrown in the same pot so to speak, as all the automatic news articles from the newswhore.

so, new posts by people may be buried pages deep.

one example in particular, was a trip report that received new posts yesterday, but it was buried 5 pages deep on the new posts filter, because there are 3 or 4 pages of news articles.

That must be happening on the mobile app.... DT I am sure can fix that.

If you are home on your PC the todays post you will not see the newswhore posts.

unless you are trying the new skins then you will see the newswhore.

..but the default skin you will not...

This is fixed on the VB4 Default Style & The Mobile (Lightweight) Style. It is not fixed on any of the test skins until we decide on which one.

I know you might say well it might only be 10 minutes to fix this issue but that 10 minutes times 10 Test Styles = over a hour & half....

If you are playing around with the Test skins, sorry you will have to live with it until we decide our new skin. I figure I will close the poll tomorrow and implement the new skin. As I mentioned before for all the changes it's about 2 hours to do a new skin.
