This article is interesting, I hope to visit one day this 2-storey brothel from ancient Rome - I've always liked archaeological sites.
It says: 'The prostitutes were slaves and were usually of Greek or other foreign origin, and they commanded prices up to eight times the cost of a portion of wine', that is, prices looked OK in Pompeii about 2,000 years ago.
